If you like Whataburger, you gotta come to this one! Most the reviews said it all here already, but I really want to emphasize the quality of their service. It may be over your expectations. It all started with a super friendly cashier(Amanda) with an adorable smile. It was my first time went to this Whataburger when I was visiting my friend in the area. In fact, I haven't had Whataburger's yummy food for years, so I ask Amanda's recommendation and also told her what type of the burgers that I like. She told me there's a burger that they used to have in the past, but she could make a special request for me. I was so happy and excited to try it! When I got my two different types of burgers, I couldn't wait to try them. The burgers were so tasty and juicy! During the meal, there was a male African American customer who sit at the table next to mine. He was too tired from a long walk and really needed to sit down. Amanda went to his table and took the order! OMG! She made me feel like I wasn't in the fast food restaurant at all! She was being very patient with him and still had her lovely smile on her face. After she took the order, she took the money back to the register, placed the order, and brought the change back to him. When she was going to walk away, I got her attention and thank her about the recommendation. She smile to me and said "you're welcome. I am so glad that you like them." Before I was going to leave, the African American man ask me how to get to the Amazon office. I told him that I don't know because I live in the north central Phoenix, so I am not familiar with the area. However I could find out on the google map from my cell phone. I found the office and showed him. He ask me if it's far from the restaurant, I said no, why? He told me that he had walked for several miles already! When I was leaving, I told myself I want to give tips to Amanda. As a result, I took out a twenty dollar bill, went to Amanda, and pretended I need some change. I told her I need two tens. After she open the register, she took one ten dollar bill out and said "sorry, I only have one ten and two fives." I quickly took that one ten dollar bill from her hand and said "that's fine. I will have this ten dollar bill and you can keep those two fives, thank you. I knew that she was shocked because she only said you're welcome and kept looking at me! LOL, I smile to her, started to walk to the door, waved to her and said bye! Hard workers deserve good karma! I know Amanda will be another successful person in the future! Finally, the Whataburger is really good, not only the food but also the awesome customer service of course! I will come back to this restaurant when I visit my...
Read moreThis is the first time I ever visited a Whataburger of any kind. I have been living in AZ for about 2 years and sad to say my first experience was not a great one. I tend to like the fast food apps more then ordering in the store. I ordered on my app went to get my food CHECKED IN on the app AND IN THE STORE. The cashier gave me the drink and the wait number + my receipt. I was number 68 and this was at 9:08pm on 2/23/19. I waited about 20 min even watching one of the worked bump my order off the screen. After waiting patiently for 30MIN I had to go up to the register to ask where my food was. Upon doing so they sated “Oh it has been ready but we didn’t know you where here.” Like seriously your cashier gave me my drinks and a wait number and a receipt how did you not know I was in the store I even watched you bump it the order off of the screen. I don’t know how they could have not known I was there when they clearly saw me standing at the counter for about five minutes before going to sit down but all I can say is the lack of communication and the lack of worry for their job really shows. If you are not happy with working at a fast food restaurant then why don’t you try to improve yourself and make yourself better instead of making everybody else’s lives harder and more complicated. I really enjoyed the food though it was really good but I don’t know if I will ever visit this location again which really sucks because it is literally not even a half mile from my house. So just be cautious when you go to this location and make sure they are aware that you were there or else you won’t...
Read moreThe online mobile ordering was deceiving because I usually just park at the mobile order pickup location and then the employees bring out my order. However, when I parked at the designated mobile order pickup site with the sign on it, the employee their told me that they do not come outside after 9pm, which is fine but they should take down those signs at night and do not claim online that they do mobile order pickups 24/7. I had to wait a little over 20 minutes in the drive-thru wasting gas for a mobile order that normally takes 5-7 minutes to be ready like it claims on the app. I asked for a refund and said they couldn’t, I asked for a manager and said the manger couldn’t come because he/she was busy, I asked how can they make this right so it doesn’t have to happen to other customers? All they told me was if I wanted a free apple pie dessert. I was polite with the employees and know it’s not their personal fault but it’s also not fair to falsely make a customer believe that they can do a mobile order and then force them to basically just do a regular drive-thru order where the food isn’t made until you get their according to the employee, contrary to what the app says. I normally go to the location outside the Army Fort Bliss base in Texas and I just park in the designated parking space and the employees come out and bring my food, at this location in Phoenix my experience was very unpleasant and a waste of my time if I would’ve known this is how they do it here. Sorry for the bother, it’s not personal, and thank you for your attention to this...
