Texas Roadhouse — Restaurant in Phoenix

My husband and I went here for a date night. We spent approximately $90.00 plus $20 tip.... We arrived and signed up for a 10- 15 minute wait. We decided to grab drinks at the bar. By the time we got our drinks poured and cashed our tab out our buzzer rang and our table was ready! Service at the bar was quick and efficient and the bartender even went out of her way to make sure that both my husband and I had a place to sit. We arrived at the hostess stand less than 1 minute after our buzzer went off and we were asked to please stand by. Two other parties that arrived after us were seated before us. When I approached the host to stand again, the hostess seemed confused and asked for my name again and the asked another hostess for guidance. After a small 2 minute discussion and awkward glances at me and my husband another hostess came up and after 3 minutes was able to seat us. In hindsight, I wish my husband and I would have just stayed at the bar and ordered dinner there. The bartender is the only person that seemed to care about the guests. Service at our table was very slow and inattentive. We waited over 12 minutes to be greeted. We immediately ordered another round of drinks and apps. Apps came out but not theour bar drinks.The Onion Blossom was soggy and gross. We each tried a bite and pushed it to the end of the table. The server did not ask about it and left it there for the entire duration of our meal. We did not pack it up with our leftovers. Potato skins were okay. 2 had no cheese or bacon on them at all and I asked for ranch (instead of sour cream) that did not come with them. Caesar salad was good. Entrees were okay. Porterhouse steak was the best thing we had. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. The Green beans were cold and salty. The Loaded Baked Potato was also cold. The Chicken Tender salad was okay. I asked for no tomato (allergy) and there were a few in the salad. Again, I asked for ranch and it came with honey mustard. The Server had to be asked multiple times for extras that we requested when ordering. (ranch for apps and entrees; drink refills) Additionally, after our entrees were dropped our Server never returned to ask about them. Approximately, 15 minutes later Server returned with TO-GO boxes and check. Server did not inquire about our entrees and there was no offer of dessert. Server did return promptly with paid bill. Probably won't...

I haven't been here in a while, but I loved the food, so I decided to get take out, I ordered online a few min after 5pm and it was back to regular price, no big deal, i got there, it was not busy. The girl at take out and her buddy manager?, Were a bit attitudish... she read order off receipt and I thought I had a onion blossom free with my online order. she was quick to call her manager and he was quick to tell me no, and they both went on about you don't get a free appetizer, (it is advertised on web menu) she said my food was done.. Ok...I was kind of surprised it was ready, I've had to wait long times for take out but It was wirth it. she put I't on the counter and wen't through it fast. I ask about a few things, the free appetizer, that they said I didn't get, and she said if I ordered it now, it would take 20 min befor I't was ready, and my other food was done. she insinuated I made it up.. or I didn't order it. Now, I'm irritated, I'f I'm going to spend $30. On an early take outmeal for 1 person, please make sure it's fresh..I got home, took food out, each of the 4 containers...I had chicken fried steak, that had to of been made 3-4 hours prior, crust was grease soaked and meat was hard and dried out, what little meat was in there. There was no seasoning, no taste. The baked potatoe, was with it and must of been from night before, salt crust was half on,in chunks and broken off in dry gluteny potatoe. Ribs were good, compared to rest of the food. house salad, had minimal toppings, no croutons, and I had to ask 3 times till I got extra dressing, she told me, you didn't order it online... but, I'm asking for it. Why would you argue about that? then the dressing tasted like the diet/ fat free kind , did they change the brand of ranch? usually the food was really good, did they change management? I'm so disappointed , wasted hard earned money to have nice dinner, I paid cash ans she seemed irritated she wan't getting tipped, I still tipped her, I cook well, and that was not ok. Really disappointed....

2.2020 I feel like every time I come back here that it just gets better and better. All my experiences have been so great with service and the food being real solid! The Seasoned Rice was flavorful and the Prime Rib and Ribeye were cooked to order! I still stand to this day that their Sauteed Mushrooms is absolutely the best!

5.2019 Let me just say that that there is a significantly long gap since I have been back to Texas Roadhouse. Customer service was top notch from the moment I walked in. I love the instant view of the kitchen as you wait to be seated. Peanut shells everywhere when you start walking to your table, but it's all good. You've got a bucket of peanuts to munch on while in the restaurant. They also start you off with some bread served with butter, cinnamon, and sugar 😍 The menu and prices are very reasonable (cheaper than most steakhouses). When it comes to flavor of the steaks I ordered 👍 and if you add a topping like mushrooms...I have never seen so much. It was smothered over the steak 😍 I think it'll I won't be waiting too long to come back - you guys surprised me in a good way and I want more steak! 😍

I'm writing another review - I loved my server! He was super friendly and attentive. And the cooks in the kitchen were on point like seriously! The steak and prime rib was good to a perfect medium 😍 The bread was amazing as always. Everything I had was tasty and it totally made my day 😊

And to add another review - just continue to get surprised by how great this place is. Service was amazing - friendly, fast and attentive! Food is tasty every time! I love trying different meals and...
