Two major issues: (1) I got a tall caramel Frappuccino in the drive-through. I’ve had these hundreds of times so I know exactly what they are supposed to taste like. This one tasted super chemical, like bleach water or hand sanitizer. I asked my daughter to take a sip to make sure that it wasn’t just my taste buds being off, and she almost threw up. We went back to get it remade, and the worker told me I was the second person to complain of this today. The remade Frappuccino still had the same chemical flavor, although less pronounced. One of the workers suggested I might just not know what their caramel sauce tastes like which is absurd. The caramel sauce on top tasted just fine, it was the blended beverage that had the chemical taste. There are containers of hand sanitizer and open bowls labeled “sanitizing solution” with rags in them all over the counters where the food is being prepared so maybe there is some cross contamination going on.
(2) While waiting inside for my drink to be remade, I observed one of the workers open the cabinet door under their dishwashing sink. Inside was a small, open container of brown powder, of which she scooped four spoonfuls into the beverage she was preparing. This was under the sink, completely open to all the hoses and pipes under the kitchen drain. I asked the worker who appeared to be the manager about this, and she said they rarely use this powder, and that the health department had never cited them for it.
Gross! There are clearly some major sanitation and health issues going on here. I will not...
Read moreI go to Starbucks everyday (literally) for my coffee. I chose this location because it has a drive thru which is convenient, but the service has been horrendous. When I spoke to the manager he made excuses that this location does higher volume than the others in the area which is why I had received such terrible service and insinuated that it would not change. I have also witnessed the mass chaos that is behind the counter/coffee bar which does not seem to have anyone being a leader or giving direction. Everyone works with their head down. I have had the pleasure of speaking with many different Starbucks managers and this conversation was the most out of character for the "Starbucks Experience." There is one gentleman who works the drive thru window in the morning (I feel terrible I have forgotten his name as he always remembers mine) who is always very kind and a choice few others, but the listening skills of others is a train wreck. My drinks have been incorrect on several occasions - including this morning. Needless to say after several different opportunities for them to change my mind, I will not be going back to this location. I will stick to walking into the Ray Rd location near I-10 where the service is always impeccable and even though the employees are sometimes not the bubbliest, are always polite and willing to go above and beyond for...
Read moreSo I go to Starbucks about 3 times a day, I went to this one for the first and last time about a week ago. I have a dairy allergy and usually get a Frappuccino with soy and no whip. When I pulled up to the drive thru window I watched the barista make my soy frapp using the dairy bucket for blending after using it to make a regular style frapp for a customer inside. When the barista came to the window I politely asked her to remake and described why. She said they didn't have a soy bucket and every bucket had dairy, she then just tried to get me to take it so when I asked if she could please wash a bucket then she slammed the windows in my face, I then watched her throw the drink away angrily and another barista come out of the back with the soy bucket and she remade it wrong but dairy free. I finally accepted the drink but she then tried to over charge me and say that they charge you for both drinks if they have to remake it. I have a dairy allergy it's not my fault that this Starbucks struggles with that when no other has and the fact that I went at about 8pm which is plenty of time before they close and they weren't busy at all. I'm just saying if I hadn't seen her make it wrong the first time I would have been very sick and what if someone has a allergy worse than mine and she kills someone because of her lazy and unthinking ways. This just isn't...
