WUB is truly unique, and the baristas/staff there were incredibly friendly. I'll admit I normally don't ask for café/restaurant recommendations, but the baristas (especially Zaria (sp?) were always happy to guide me.
I frequented WUB for about a month, enjoying drinks with ingredients I'd yet to taste in coffee. Y'all got me into cardamom, so thank you. And many baristas were talented in the art of foam latté designs. There were a lot of employees there who simply cared – the kind of care that rubs off on you after a while.
The atmosphere is cozy yet open, and there's a wonderfully small table with thought-provoking art drawn in pen on graph-paper.
I often saw a woman who I suspect was the owner. She seemed to have great rapport with her employees, and more than once she would hop on the floor to help out during busy periods – the mark of a great food-service leader.
Unfortunately the prices ended up being unsustainable for me. They made sure to remind you that tipping is always optional, but as a former barista myself, I couldn't bear not tipping. If you can swing $10+ for a large drink, by all means, WUB is the best, most unique coffee shop for miles, and a true gem in the...
Read moreThe WUB crew with their otherworldly brewing skills have been a beloved staple of this valley for so long that I could not envision the valley with out these guys, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Walking into WUB isn’t just stepping into a coffee shop—it’s like being wrapped in a warm, familiar hug from your best friend on the hardest of days. It’s the kind of place that feels like the only steady light in a world that is rife with chaos and destruction. The moment you walk through the door, the scent of freshly ground coffee and the sound of friendly laughter wrap around you, easing the weight of the outside world.
WUB feels like the golden glow of a summer sunset, when the sky melts into hues of amber and rose, painting the evening with quiet magic. It’s the comfort of your favorite sweater, the joy of an unexpected conversation, and the peace of knowing you’re exactly where you belong. Whether it’s the first sip of a perfectly brewed drink or the way the baristas remember your name, WUB isn’t just a place—it’s a feeling. And that...
Read moreEDIT: Wanted to revise my original review after going here a couple more times. I haven't encountered the original employee that made me feel unwelcome again, and all of the other employees/baristas are really nice and helpful! The coffee has been amazing every time and the atmosphere/interior is perfect to work and study in for a bit. This is definitely going to become a regular spot for me 😌
Original Review: I went here a few days ago to try out their coffee and had a mixed experience. The coffee was amazing (I ordered a Maple Cardamom Latte), but the service was not the best. The girl at the register really looked like she didn't want to be there and was a little short with me. I was also going to try a breakfast burrito, but they said they were out that day which was disappointing. The atmosphere is nice and cozy though and it's definitely some place I'd like to go back to to have some coffee and get some work/reading done. Not sure if I'll be back yet though because of how unwelcoming that...
