Mad Hatter Kava — Restaurant in Phoenix

I was looking for an alcohol bar to go to with my friend. Googled "bars near me" and this place came up. Saw the tiki looking drinks and gave it a go. We came in and the vibe was SO nice.

Stepped up to the bar and learned there's no booze! However! We learned there's a whole host of other things they have that provide feel good effects!

So I told the bartender "I want something that makes me feel like I love everyone" she immediately knew what to give me and hooked me up with a shell.

I sipped on it for about 30 min and felt like a Tibetan monk on a retreat while enjoying great conversation with other randos at the bar. After about that time, the effects hit me.

I felt like I was being hugged by the very essence of life. My heart opened up. I felt so calm and chill but not in a sedated way. It felt like I was on mother natures mdma. For real. I felt GOOD. I had some INCREDIBLE conversations. I just wanted to say hi to everyone and spread nothing but positivity. This experience blew my mind.

Afterwards I had a the most absolute amazing session with my therapist and I released soo much emotional baggage in me I had no idea I was even holding onto, but with the confidence I'd move past it because this beautiful plant made me feel hope as well as peace.

Guys, I don't say this lightly. But I think I can honestly say that coming here legitimately changed my life for the best and it was the most amazing random stumble upon I've ever had in my life. This is exactly the kind of home away from home I want. And it really felt like such a special retreat for my mind and soul. I really really liked it a lot. I can't believe this kind of a beautiful experience only costed me $9. It's been a few days since and I can't stop thinking about this place. I want to come back as soon as I'm back in town.

I really think this will be an amazing substitute for booze for me. I really think it will help me in so many ways. It showed me what what a beautiful concept a "sober bar" is. I really want to just feel a lot of joy and have amazing authentic relationships in my life as well as be so open to meeting new people all the time. And this place showed me the answer to one of my life's biggest problems.

For years I've drank alcohol and it's been fun many times but it's also brought me down in many ways. And this random happy accident was meant to happen. I'm so glad it did.

To the owners, yall made an amazing establishment. Thank you for showing me what life could be like aside from a typical bar and booze. I really truly hope God blesses your business beyond your wildest dreams. And I hope the word of this awesome plant spreads far and wide. In a time when our soceity is so divided and we all gotta remember that we're all human and we should stand by one another, I think concepts like this place can help us be reminded of that when we all need it the most. And I say that with a full heart.

My fiancé and I had the pleasure of visiting the new Kava Bar that truly exceeded our expectations. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. Sarok, Cole and Jason are incredibly knowledgeable about the various Kava and Kratom offerings and took the time to explain the different types and their effects, helping us choose the perfect drink for our mood.

The location was another highlight of our visit. On the corner of 48th St and Chandler Blvd, the bar boasts a cozy yet lively ambiance, ideal for both relaxing solo or enjoying time with friends. The decor is charming and has a Mad Hatter theme with comfortable seating and ambient lighting that creates a laid-back vibe.

The kava itself was top-notch, with rich flavors and a smooth texture that made for a delightful experience. I appreciated the variety of options available, catering to both newcomers and seasoned kava enthusiasts.

Overall, this Kava Bar is a gem that combines excellent service with a fantastic location. Whether you're looking to unwind after a long day or catch up with friends, this spot is definitely worth a visit! I can't wait to return and explore more of...

Recently heard about kava bars this last month! After a heard break up & dramatic life change, i wanted somewhere to go, to enjoy time to myself & be surrounded by better people. When i found out about Mad Hatter, i went asap! & from the very first time being there, it absolutely changed everything for me! I love going to this place! I go almost every day! All thanks to the best worker there, Julia, she’s recommend me the best drinks EVER! & also is kind enough to surprise me with flavors she creates on her own! Her creativity, comfort, & customer service is unlike anything ive had! She makes it feel like such a safe space to journal, rant to, or even just crack a joke with! i love going there to see her & have her brighten my day 💛 as she does this with lots of the regulars, us regulars LOVE julia!!
