We went there for lunch and after trying to order we asked for code to bathroom to wash our hands. We were the only customers and the guy was making a sub. He replied he couldn't give that code. We explained we wanted to wash our hands. It was Sunday mothers day. I'm 74 and my wife was with me. We were polite and left. He did not greet us or offer to open the rest room door. We left without ordering and ate at Yins. I went back today to inform the manager on duty, Dave. I told him it is against health code rules to refuse restroom use to customers. He replied it was not because gas stations do it. I told him Safeway was a fine chain with a high standard . He said not any more because they were taken over by another Co. He said all 60 subways are owned by Mike Rice and he would talk to the employee who also closed early on Sunday after I suggested maybe he was having a bad day on Sunday. I will not return there and when I went back today another elderly lady was waiting to use the rest room and one of the two workers, Dave, opened the door to the rest room for her and another customer bought her a bottle of water so she would fit the customer criterion. As Owner are you aware of the law that all restaurants serving food must provide a toilet and wash area/ room. What will you do to improve the restaurant up to the fine Subway standard and treat polite...
Read moreAs a healthcare professional, I come across different situations and come across different type of communicable diseases all that require a good wash of the hands. Before I eat, I like to wash my hands. Me and my trainee, that I was treating for a late lunch were there. Ultimately he was going to start his order while I went to wash my hands. Needed code so went back and the lady being rude and dismissive to my request, demanded that I buy something first. "The door says restrooms are for customers, ypu have to buy something". I believe its the law to allow hand washing and another is I am a returning customer. Not cool, what a shame that she led with idiocracy. Owner of this Subway, please educate your subpar employee. I understand the demogrphic are and homelessness around your store, but if two professionals in uniforms co.e in, it might be a good idea to just let theh was their hands and trust that they have good intentions to buy a couple of affordable sandwiches! Sheeeeeesh. Ill walk in and if she is there, ai...
Read moreI love how ppl say someone is lounging around in the back or dodging customers or being lazy or avoiding helping customers. Have u ever thought that maybe just maybe they could be doing prep or making bread so they don't run out of things? This is a very busy location and so there are times we can not leave the line. So one person has to help the customers while the other person stays on top of prep and bread when we get a lil slower so we don't run out of things. We do our best here and I think we do a pretty good job especially with how busy this store gets, and the customers here feeling they should do and act however they please and being so rude about things. Check it out ok we are very short staffed and the staff we do have most are fairly new give us a break and cut us some slack we are doing our best. We try and please everyone and go out of our way for our customers. So please understand we are not ducking and dodging in the back we are trying to get caught up on things...
