Sushi Sonora — Restaurant in Phoenix

This place has gone from a 5 star rating to a 1. When they first opened the cooks were amazing. I don’t know if they have fired the old crew, however the last five times I have gone in to this location they have different cooks AND the food is horrible. Tonight was the final straw. We will never return here. The food was worse than ever before. We ordered a Dinamita roll and the Yakisoba (noodle bowl). The first dish we got (Dinamita Roll) had no flavor. Mind you, this is a roll that’s supposed to be somewhat spicy, it had no spice at all. The ingredients that are supposed to go in the Dinamita Roll are this imitation crab mixed with siracha sauce, shrimp, cream cheese, and I always ask with cucumber inside as well. It had everything however, the imitation crab mixture with the siracha sauce (which is what gives it most of its flavor) was scarcely scattered, only a few of the rolls actually contained this mixture. We noticed this and returned it right away. The server tried pointing out the few slices that did contain this, however when we questioned where it was on the rest of the roll she suggested remaking the dish but it would take a while since there were 5 orders. We told her it was fine to just take the plate away that we would just wait for the noodles. Now our second plate took an additional 30 minutes even though we had ordered both at the same time. The noodles are supposed to have pieces of chicken and the noodles themselves are supposed to be cooked in a sauce giving them a sweet & spicy taste. There were six little pieces of chicken (we counted them not because we are petty but because we couldn’t see any chicken in it). If you are paying $10 for noodles and chicken I expect to have chicken in my noodles. Not only that, but the sauce that the Yakisoba is supposed to be cooked in was non existent. The whole dish was so dry you could barely swallow it, not to mention it didn’t taste like anything. Might as well eat cardboard.

Overall the experience was horrible. My husband and I have just decided we will not return. Service is slow, even when they’re not busy, the servers will argue with you, and the food is not worth...

We were at an event nearby so we ordered take out for a group of 4 of us. It came to around 160 total. We all ordered different things so there was a healthy selection of things to choose from. We asked for extra sauces and ginger etc and they provided.I can't fault their service. But the food.. the majority of it ended up in the garbage after a few bites. Awful. Absolutely awful. Rice was thick and gummy- not at all like sushi rice. Everything is dripping in cream cheese. Wayyy too much. All you could taste was cream cheese and rice. Not one bite was enjoyable. I had their shrimp/salmon cone and even it was barely edible. Not fresh. Not good. For what we paid I wish we had...

Sushi was absolute garbage and expensive as hell. All the rolls where tasteless, warm and over priced. 15 dlls for a California roll . ?!! Like come on! Flavors were not existent all rolls were warm and had a weird chewy texture.the fried rice was the only thing that was edible and I'm not saying much about it cus it's wasn't good either. Price are crazy for the type of restaurant that it is. 6 dlls for a side of French fries that looked pale and unappetizing 18dlls +, for nothing but imitation crab and some sauce drizzled on top.
