My friends and I decided to eat here before a concert at the Celebrity Theater on a Saturday night. We were here from around 6 to 7 and it was almost dead the entire time we were there. A couple tables had patrons but that was it, not like a lot of restaurants that’d be filled up all night (especially a Saturday night).
The reviews saying you should mostly come here for the karaoke are the ones worth considering. Also, the reviews that talk about how a lot of the stuff on their menu is out of stock are TRUE. My friend asked for shots of several different liquors and our server told us they didn’t have any at the time.
The salsa was too spicy; the guacamole was even spicier. This is coming from people who go out of their way to order spicy things. Margaritas tasted like there wasn’t a hint of alcohol in them. The only thing going for them was the gigantic glass they came in (but they’re the same large glasses that most Mexican restaurants serve their margaritas in, so nothing special).
They also add gratuity onto your bill for you, which is why my friend’s one margarita and one shot came out to almost $30!
Regarding the karaoke, since it was so dead the entire time, the only singer was a woman who worked there… and even then it was too loud that we couldn’t have a pleasant conversation at our table without shouting at each...
Read moreI was really looking forward to the space because of all the good reviews. The rice and beans were just OK. The salad was just OK. I ordered the steak fajitas and the steak was very cheap quality, thin steak that was seriously overcooked!
It was very greasy like way too much onions and peppers and way too little steak and soaked in oil. It seems like there was barely any steak compared to all the oily vegetables.
The service was bad, but I felt terrible for the poor waiter. He was trying to do everything by himself and completely overloaded with work. They need to hire more people two waiters is not enough for the entire place!
The only real positive was the live karaoke music. The singers were good and I got the feeling that locals acknowledged that the food wasn’t very good and came for the show and for a beer. Stupid me because I came for the food. I was expecting us authentic Mexican food. I have eaten probably at 50 Mexican restaurants in my life and this was in the...
Read moreHad been looking forward to trying this place after reading reviews. Stopped by for an order to go and was shocked at the music so LOUD that I had to SHOUT my order to the bartender. With no relief from the music, I had to wait outside. When the food was done, went back in to pay and the person at the register forgot to give me my credit card back and because of the Music blaring could not understand me and even she was complaining about the music. My ears were ringing when I left. As for the food, it was nothing I would come back for. I was and still am dumbfounded as to the unbelievably LOUD Deafening Music. Needless to say, this is a place I won't be...
