Disappointing Experience - Wrong Item and Poor Customer Service
I recently visited el trompo and unfortunately had a highly disappointing experience. I ordered torta de al pastor but to my dismay, I was served the wrong item.(burrito w beans)
Upon bringing this to the attention of the staff, the response was not only unapologetic but also unsatisfactory. (They said they will review the camaras like i was stealing something) The manager, who I expected to handle the situation professionally, was incredibly rude and dismissive.
What struck me even more is that when I escalated the issue, I was informed that the owner is aware of the situation, but there seemed to be no genuine effort to address the error or provide a satisfactory resolution.
As a customer, I believe good service includes owning up to mistakes, apologizing, and making amends. Unfortunately, my experience at el trompo fell short of these basic expectations.
I hope this review serves as constructive feedback for the management to improve their customer service and ensure that such incidents are handled more professionally in the future.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe were here tonight as per recommended from family member. They said it was great and the closest to the authentic DF tacos. All I can say is bland, no flavor what so ever. The food was hot and made to order they worked clean and the tacos looked delicious but once I started to eat there was just no flavor. I had tacos al pastor which are made on the trompo I asked no onions and they actually served with pineapple which is how they are supposed to be! The pic on my plate came out blurred which I didnt catch till we were done the food looked great. My kids had tacos de asada, asada fries and chicken nuggets with fries, hubby ordered alambre especial which came with tortillas on the side. We had to add salt to everything. Both the red and green salsa were not that great either. My husband said food was good. I say it was ok. Would I come back not sure. But maybe just my husband. Place was packed all the time with bunch of people ordering to go and eat in. They take your order at the table if you are eating in if not you order at the window. All staff was nice and promptly. It was just for me...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHaving grown up in Mexico, I know what authentic tacos al pastor should taste like. During my time in Arizona, I was delighted to discover a taqueria that brought back those nostalgic flavors of my hometown. The first bite transported me straight to the streets of Mexico. The pork was tender and perfectly marinated with that quintessential blend of spices, pineapple, and achiote. The balance of sweet and savory, combined with a slight char from the grill, was just right. Topped with fresh onions, cilantro, and a squeeze of lime, each taco was a burst of authentic flavor. The fresh made tortillas were soft yet sturdy, holding up to the generous fillings without falling apart. What truly stood out was the care and attention to detail in every aspect of the taco-making process. The chefs clearly take pride in delivering an authentic Mexican experience, making these tacos al pastor the best I've had outside of Mexico. If you're in Arizona and craving a genuine taste of Mexico, this place is an...
