If I could give no stars that is what I would give. My husband and I as the sellers of our house in Arizona, did not choose this title agency, and although they tried to later state that they were working for both parties in a neutral manner that was not our experience. We worked with Jami B., and she was very unprofessional, and it was the worst experience we have ever had with a title company and really with any company. I was going to move past that, however, our past HOA continued to charge us for the HOA stating that they never received any information stating that the house had sold and needing to change the information to the new buyers. I attempted to email Jami, and I knew that our relationship was rocky so I decided to follow up with a phone call the same day. Right away on the phone she had an attitude, cut me off as I was speaking, told me I didn't know what I was talking about, and that the HOA can't continue to pull money out, unless I didn't do my job and cancel the payment. I continued to try to get some words in and asked her if I could just speak to her supervisor since it's not working to communicate with her. She said, "NO!" So then I paused and asked her to just listen to me. I stated that the payment DID get pulled from our bank account and the HOA management company is saying that they can continue to pull money out of the account until we get her the needed paperwork showing that the house was sold and who it was sold to. She continued to have an attitude, and complained about her negative experience with us. She then stated that she would try to get ahold of them and asked for the information. I let her know that the HOA management supervisor was on the email that I sent her earlier that day. She blew me off, very rude again and left me crying and stressed again. Since she didn't forward me to the supervisor. I went ahead and phone the woman that I think is her supervisor and left a voicemail for her stating what our experience was and continued to be. Very unprofessional. Felt that she was not on our side throughout the process, very short with us, and not able to really listen and hear what we are saying or asking, only interested in herself and what she needs. Even when we were asking questions about the documents sent to us last minute and VERY late at night. That also happened with a document they said they NEEDED BACK ASAP towards the end of the closing..which was not sent to us until 5pm on Friday, the week before closure. Just a lot of pressure and stress added to an already stressful situation. Glad we are not in Arizona anymore, and if we ever move back there, I will FOR sure be paying attention to the title company we use to purchase a home, as I never want to go through that experience...
Read moreThe national loan company I was using to buy my house (in family purchase) assigned us their sister company, Amrock, as out title company. We have no experience selling homes, and this was from the estate of my grandparent. 4 Days before closing, Amrock told us the legal paperwork we had wasn't sufficient, and they needed something else specific, despite the paperwork being legal and complete in Arizona. So i had to scramble, and called Great American Title and spoke to Jami, who literally had all the title work completed by that Friday, on time for the scheduled closing. The Mortgage company dropped the ball and hadn't changed title companies, so that was on their end that the closing was delayed a week. But Jami was fantastic and really helped out...
