Window Coffee Bar — Restaurant in Phoenix

I stumbled upon Window Coffee Bar because Lux Central had zero parking. Well, it was a blessing in disguise because I've found my new favorite coffee shop!

The Space: The shop itself is beautiful. Warm, welcoming, and vibrant with thoughtful and colorful decor, Window is neither too loud nor too minimalist. It strikes a perfect balance for individuals looking to get work done or sit back and soak in the upbeat vibes with friends and family. Look around and you can tell the customers genuinely enjoy this beautiful space, too.

The Coffee + Food: I kicked off my two-hour stay (I was looking for a place to get some work done) with a cinnamon vanilla latte and a sea salt bagel with cream cheese. I'm normally a drip coffee guy, but I thought I'd be a little more adventurous this time. That first sip, and every gulp that followed, was simply delicious. Perfectly balanced, none too sweet, and super flavorful with the right amount of kick to lock in and focus on my work. The toasted sea salt bagel with cream cheese was delicious, too, and I can't wait to try the jalapeno cheddar one. For lunch I ordered the turkey sandwich. Prepared with care, the fresh ingredients and delightful crunch made for one outstanding meal following my bagel and cinnamon vanilla latte. Finally, I capped off my stay with the most delightful iced prickly pear tea that was ever so refreshing.

The Service: I had the pleasure of being helped by Marcus, one of Window's two owners. He was personable, kind, and welcoming, and not to mention a great conversationalist! He treated every single customer as if they were a guest of his own home. A few even knew him on a first-name basis, and that counts for a lot. It's clear that Marcus and the other owner (I look forward to meeting him one day!) are all about fostering community and providing an exceptional experience -- not just serving you great coffee, but brightening your day with a one-of-a-kind atmosphere that makes you feel like you belong, no matter who you are.

Now, you may ask why I choose Window when I live all the way in South Scottsdale. For me, I like supporting small businesses run by great people. Saw this cafe while driving and stopped by a few days later to check it out. The avacado toast with the fresh heirloom tomatoes, micro greens, chili flakes and EVOO drizzle was absolutely davoon!! 10/10!! So hard to find places with excellent toast and fresh produce like that at a coffee shop but this was sooo simple but delicious!

Their drink menu was interesting but since I’m not a fan of Monin syrups and prefer homemade ones I had opted for a simple honey cinnamon latte instead. The barista working that day offered to add some of their mushroom cocoa powder to it so I thought why not and it was absolutely delicious!! I looooved the combo so much I brought my fiancé back a few days later to get it again! Unfortunately there was a different barista there that day and it didn’t come out as good as previous one but we tried the turkey club and I must say that was probably one of the best turkey club sandwiches I’ve had by far, hands down!!! Again, super fresh veggies in it, cucumbers had an amazing crunch, delicious turkey and bread! The place was packed… but for an obvious reason. It was a bit confusing to find it but its right in the front of a building that looks like it should be goldberg and osborn. Once you walk in, the atmosphere is incredible, great vibes everywhere. I found its a trend to be a rude barista in local coffee shops but oh boy was this not the case. All of the workers were so welcoming, kind, and overall just held the vibes up for the place. They care about you enjoying your drink, helping you customize, and always offering to remake it if its not what you were expecting. I got a matcha latte with coconut and oh. my. gosh. It was truly amazing. I also got a hot ube taro latte and it was incredible as well. I had a big essay to right so I spent about 5 hours in the shop, they provided water for me over and over and picked up my trash and cleaned up tables throughout the entire day. I forgot my headphones, but it was fine because the music was on point. Everything I could ask for in a coffee shop. It was so busy in the morning, but my order was still taken immediately, it felt like a personal experience with the barista, and my drink was brought extremely quickly.
