Yoshi's Fresh Asian Grill — Restaurant in Phoenix

I'm very confused about the all the praise and perfect 5 star ratings about this place. I went to yoshis for the first time last night, the 24th St and Indian school location. And let me tell you, the food was actually FRESH and AUTHENTIC and DELICIOUS. I fell in love instantly. It was so good I decided to come back today for lunch. I went to this location closer which is closer to home this time. Big mistake. Big difference. It was almost like a completely different restaurant. The ingredients were not the same at all. The orange chicken was different! And same with the teriyaki chicken. And the rice was way over cooked and got served to me in the shape of a cube. Unless they changed management recently, or these reviews are fake, I'm completely confused. I rate 2 stars. Let's put it this way, Panda Express is a step up in quality than this Yoshi's location. I recently gave this place another shot to try since I moved back to AZ, and I have to say I absolutely love it! About 2 weeks ago the owner of Yoshi's came into the store I work at to buy some reading glasses. Initially when I met him he was exchanging in playful, harmless banter about the quality of their food. However once I put two and two together, I told him how I thought the food was genuinely delicious (based on my past experiences) and he was so impressed that he gave me a coupon for a free rice bowl!

With that said I usually order to-go meals from here, and my top dish recommendations are the tofu and veggie rice bowl, their crab puffs, along with the salmon plate with edamame that they offer on Fridays! One of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the valley!...

I picked up a delivery here while door dashing. Great consumer service and speedy while dashing. Afterwards, I got hungry so I came back. The restaurant was really clean, you can tell they keep a schedule because the bathroom was immaculate (even behind the toilet and hard to reach places) once again I'm met with great customer service and the young lady was patient with me as I asked a million questions about the new deliciousness on the menu. The price was great cause I expected it to be more since I asked for the protein over yakisoba rather than rice and when I got my meal the proportion was more than I expected was well.
