My first time here a few weeks ago was amazing which is why I’m giving 3⭐️ so I decided to treat myself again, however, I was very upset with my 2nd experience! The only thing worth paying for was the tip for my server - Isabella (she was tentative) I wish I could’ve tipped more but my meal was already expensive and absolutely NOT worth it. Excluding the tenders & fries for my son, all the other food was cold! They forgot the onions in my hash-browns (which were half burnt). I got the crab Benedict and it was cold. And the plate they served it on was gross - gray markings on it and that non-polished look. Why they even serve on a plate like that is beyond me. Instead of canceling my meal I asked for it to be microwaved and it still wasnt hot and since they forgot the onions they weren’t cooked in so throwing some on top didn’t give the right pairing of flavors 🙄the hollandaise sauce was missing so I had to ask for that on the side 🙄 I also got a pancake that was cold and the syrup is cold since it sits out on the table so that just made it worse. I also asked for that to be microwaved and that came back still cold so I asked for the pancake to be taken off the bill since you can’t really save it at that point. Coffee is bitter but was at least warm. I tried to have patience and kindness with this experience but they obviously don’t care. The whole experience was super annoying and not worth my $40 but it’s a “pandemic,” so I did not complain. It was either go to shady maples or come here and I chose here becuase it was closer (still 20 min drive) but closer. In the end I wish I went elsewhere. I wanted to get lunch to-go but after my frustrations, I decided against it. Probably won’t visit for a while but my first experience was much better. So while the consistency is low, there is still hope. Could’ve just been a bad day. 🤷🏾♀️ Also they don’t season their food, bring your own. I came prepared for my second visit with old-bay, paprika, season salt & garnished with parsley for my crab meat becuase otherwise it...
Read moreDoesn't even deserve a single star. I was very disappointed in my last experience here. To give background on myself, I have worked in the restaurant business for 10 years and I am currently the manager of a upscale bar. I've been to Nudy's 3 times in the past week and the first time we had a great server and the food came out in record time. There were a few problems that visit but nothing noteworthy of a huge fuss. The second time I went, food was subpar and the service was just ok. When I went earlier today, I received the worst service possible. We came in with a group of 6 and all of us work in the restaurant business. Each time we've came in, we are in and out and tip very well because we get it. This time, we get in 20mins before they close, 2:40pm. We didn't realize they closed at 3pm and understand its frustrating when people come right before closing, however, the restaurant is still not closed. No restaurant actually shuts their doors when they close, they just stop taking more tables after closing time. They have a few tables still there and a waitress just took an order from a table. When we were approached, we were clearly unwelcome. They were visibly unhappy to have to take another table. After we asked for a table for 6, they walked away and talked amongst themselves and that wasn't the normal routine any other time we came in. I could see them shaking their head and fighting over who had to take the table in front of guests. One came back and asked us how many were in our group and we repeated 6 and the female rolled her eyes and walked away. Then one screamed out to the kitchen, "we have 6 more people" with a very negative tone. Then the same woman turned to us and said, "you realize we close at 3pm, right?" Again, she was extremely rude. So, clearly not welcome despite the fact the the business was open and we are paying customers-- we just told them that we are leaving. I wasn't trying to have all of them spit in our food. Never will return. Do...
Read moreWent to Nudy’s today for the first time as my husband and I have been wanting to try this place in a long time. I ordered the Mexican omelette, he had two scrambled eggs with hash browns , and some sausage on the side. We also decided to share their Nutella crêpes. The presentation was very nice, and everything looked very tasty, however, when I took my first bite, I realized that the eggs we have ordered had never seen a salt shaker in their lives. The hash browns were also undercooked and as bland as it gets. No amount of ketchup was able to mask it. I tried to salvage by sprinkling some salt and pepper onto my food myself, but the taste just wasn’t right… The eggs were also very dry as if they hadn’t been cooked in any oil or butter. Now comes the kicker. I cut open one of the crepes, and it’s white?? I taste it… it’s bland again… I open it up and see a thin sliver of Nutella or chocolate syrup of some kind, and the white paste underneath. I taste the white stuff on its own and realize that it’s RICOTTA!!! That is a sin… Ricotta does not belong on a NUTELLA crepe!! In Europe, we try different toppings, but if you order a Nutella crepe, expect Nutella on it. Dripping Nutella from your plate. Not ricotta. I wondered if maybe I had ordered it wrong and so when the waitress came back and asked me if I wanted to take them home, I told her no, I told her I didn’t care phot ricotta on them. To my surprise, she told me that nobody seems to like the ricotta. She said that Many customers complain about it, and either send the crêpes back, or if they already know about the ricotta, they ordered them specifically without the ricotta. All in all, this was a rather dissatisfying, underwhelming, and at some point even infuriating breakfast. I definitely won’t be back again. I did feel like it was my responsibility to warn other people about the ricotta in the crêpes, so that other people won’t be as...
