It was beautiful! The only downfall was there were dogs allowed in the park area where the children were playing. There were several different areas for the kids to play in & the area was fabulous! It was a beautiful day & plenty of children out playing with adults to look on. There was a boat that rocked (very creative) as I had no idea it moved until a gentleman came over & said I'm going to make it move. There were special needs swings available for youth with special abilities. There was another park which had sliding boards for youth & places to climb. There was a rock climbing wall. There was also a monkey bar area that had other things to climb on & for older children to enjoy. I'm so glad I stopped by there. I hadn't been there in many years, but surely I will be going back again. It's across the street from the public library & not far from local dining (pizza shops & downtown shopping district). Read moreThis park is fantastic. I used to live 2 blocks away and would go ALL the time. I have to drive there now, but it's still worth it.
It has plenty of room for young kids to run, play, climb, slide and swing. It has a baseball/kickball diamond, an adult workout area and an outdoor theater with seating. There's a covered pavilion with benches for eating or just hanging out in the shade. There's a couple of gazebos for kissing? I don't know, but they're there and people use them.
It's also a short walk from downtown Phoenixville, so you can park nearby and have access to Reeve's Park and the shops and restaurants downtown on Bridge St.
It's free to access and free parking. Bring the fam, friends or just yourself. Stop by for events like the Dogwood Festival with all the carnival rides, games and food...
Read moreThe new Reeves park is wonderful. It has a rubber floor vs wood pellets which is great. They have a handicapable swing set for family members that are wheelchair bound, they also have a swing for adults and children to swing together, as well as the standard swing set. The new park is gated with multiple access points. No dogs are allowed in the new park which I personally prefer. My dog loving toddler doesn't understand not all dogs want to be pet and I feel safer having him in an enclosed space where dogs aren't allowed. I saw the township built bathrooms but every time I went to use them they were locked so I don't know what...
