Outfielder's Pizza is a quant establishment conveniently located on Highway 11 in Picayune, Mississippi. The owner, John, is a friendly gentleman that takes the time to remember customer 's names and when they visited last. John has chosen his staff to directly reflect the same level of service he affords the customers. People with kind eyes and smiles constantly checking on their customers and their satisfaction. The atmosphere is festive with televisions in each corner offering some variety of entertainment. Lastly, the food's quality and price. I just tried the calzone and I was very impressed. It was baked to perfection and it was more than I could eat in one sitting. The price was extremely fair. I would say that if you rather a thick crust on your pizza, you may want to let them know. It is a bit thin, but it is still very good 😊. For the price, food, and service, you would be hard pressed to find it's equal in the area. Go check them out and say Nick sent me. You may get... nevermind. It is probably better if you leave my name out of it. 😆😂. God...
Read moreWe went there on a Tuesday evening and stayed 45 minutes. The decor theme was spot on. However, I wish their food was at least as half as good as that. For being a pizza buffet, I wouldn't call that pizza by any means.
First off, they aren't even using any sort of pizza sauce or marinara. It's got to be some sort of tomato paste blend. There was no flavor in what little sauce was there. Secondly, I didn't know this was possible. Even the thin crust was a soggy, chewy disgust that I'll never be a part of again. I was hungry before I got there and I had heard they got better, but I was poorly mistaken. Lost my hunger as I ate.
Lastly, again we were there for 45 minutes. There were 2 tables that had not been cleaned off in that entire time. One of which was my first choice in seating before I seen the table top.
I can forgive the lack of straws for immediate use, it happens. It's a small thing. But to utterly fail at what you are is simply a travesty. Dam I miss...
Read moreMy wife heard they had good calzones and pizza from several of her friends. I found the calzone mediocre, nearly tasteless , and slightly over cooked for my particular liking. The marinara sauce tasted pretty much like tomato sauce right out of the can, no spices at all. We will go back and try the pizza . The place reminded me more of an old rundown bar than a pizza place and since it was my first time there it was a little confusing whether we seated ourselves and waited for an order or what. We asked and was told to get a menu, sit down then come back up to the register to order. After we did that and sat down then we realized we weren't sure if we were supposed to go get the food ourselves or someone would bring us to us. They did bring it to our table. Since we now know the protocol we will try the pizza soon. Hopefully it will be better than...
