We are vacationing in the area, and went to Tony's on a Sunday night. Bottom line upfront: From the facility to the bathrooms (gross!) and the food, this place shouldn't be open!

We were hard-pressed to find a restaurant open until 10pm so we ended up here. I ordered the chicken Parm which came in an interesting oblong bowl smothered in sauce, cheese, and angel hair pasta. It was nice and hot so I was pleased until my wife a noted that the chicken appeared to be pressed soy (or something). It tasted good, but didn't have the consistency of fresh chicken breast. After 22 years of Army food, I still managed to enjoy it.

My wife asked if the pizza was cooked in a brick oven and the waitress gave us a non-commital action that wasn't very encouraging. My wife got a pepperoni and cheese pizza that was - wait for it! - served on a metal plate with a round cardboard piece under the pizza. It was clearly a FROZEN pizza thrown in an oven and billed as homemade. My wife ate some of it, but I've seen better Food Lion frozen pizzas.

Overall, we both still feel ripped off ($39!) and deceived. This place deserves -2 stars and we're just not sure how the locals can eat here. Avoid...

The place doesnt look that great but dont let that fool you. Kinda old, needs new seats and a coat of paint on the icky looking restroom. However, if you dont mind uncomfortable seats and want some good food then stop at this little small town restaurant. The manicotti was excellent. My bf from HS had lasagna and also said it was excellent. Both dishes arrived hot and plated well. We also ordered a greek salad which we split. It was plenty big for two. The salad had nice crisp iceberg lettuce with a few fresh tomatoes, croutons, & slices of feta cheese. While the portion was adequate, it did lack in value somewhat. It could have been better with a little tweeking by adding some additional mixed lettuce or purple onion to have given it the extra punch for a wonderful salad. The house dressing was killer. I would order the salad just for the dressing alone. We also ordered a wonderful cheese bread . The entrees included a bread that was also good. Would have been great if it had garlic butter melted over it but still good. The service was also good and one of the waiters was very friendly and funny. I would definitely eat...

Not impressed at all and would be hard pressed to ever eat here again. In fact, we're not even eating what we ordered other than the salad and cheesy bread. It was a last minute decision to try something new so we ordered for pickup. The food was ready fast, but that's about all I can say about the food. I ordered chicken marsala which basically taste like cheap brown gravy over partially cooked onions, mushrooms and grilled seasoned chicken tenderloins. Gross. Now I did go back and reread the menu online and sure enough the description says gravy but one would assume that the gravy would taste something like actual Marsala. My spouse ordered chicken Parmigian. The chicken taste like frozen breaded chicken tenders, and the red sauce is rather meaty which isn't common on chicken parm.... let's just say, we won't be eating that either. Now the Greek salad was pretty good, mostly because it had a ton of cheese (which we love) and the Greek dressing was pretty good. Sadly we're very disappointed and won't...

I’ve been craving a saucy, cheesy meatball sub for over a month now so it HAD to happen. Boy, did this hit the spot!? 🤤 I went to Tony's Restaurant in Pickens. This is an Italian/American local spot that has the typical spaghetti, lasagna, pizza, etc…but also has cheeseburgers, sandwiches, and wine if you’re into that. If you’re born & raised here, you know that it’s been around for a loooong time. Plenty of seating and with no shortage of celebrity portraits on the walls. As far as the meatball sub…just know that there was another half but it was already devoured at the timing of this photo. 🤣 So, it’s much bigger than it appears. The sauce and meatballs had plenty of flavor and seasoned just right. And I love that they toasted the bun too. Fries do not come with this, must be ordered separately if you want them. I would honestly skip the fries though because the sub itself is plenty…unless you’re really really hungry. But, I’m happy to know where to get a solid meatball sub in Pickens when the craving hits.

We were served a Philly cheese steak sub (came out with lettuce and tomato for some reason) with what tasted like very old, freezer burned meat. At first I thought maybe it was just poorly seasoned and I worked through about half of it before I opened it up and found a rotten tomato slice (see photo) I asked for just that item to be removed from the check as it was rotten. I showed the owner the picture of the rotten tomato and he still refused to take it off the check because it was half eaten and then proceeded to accuse me of looking for a cheap meal and then proceeded to tell me to "get the hell out" I would definitely not recommend this restaurant not only for the quality of food being served but the ridiculous attitude of the owner and complete and utter refusal to compensate the rotten food he knew he had served.

The food is excellent, the decor is lovely, the servers are very friendly and quick, and the prices are very reasonable. The building and parking lot are very clean. The seating is nice, with many comfortable booths. *The interior layout gives some nice privacy when dining. Arches, brick, and large wall murals of VENICE give a nice, slow ITALIAN FEEL to this FAST-SERVING AMERICAN restaurant. *They offer two or three dinners for a special price daily. *The family who owns this restaurant has been working here for many years, and they have a very good reputation for their food and friendliness.
