Lupe's Restaurant — Restaurant in Pico Rivera

Hello everyone and welcome to Lupes restaurant.

I was drawn to this restaurant by the amount of views. And let me tell you someone lied. I was not too happy with the burritos I ordered. I asked what was recommended or popular and they told me the pastrami burrito. And I also ordered the Carnitas burrito. The pastrami burrito was neither tasty nor filling. I would not recommend. I asked my friend about the Carlitos burrito. And they complained that the meat was dry and hard and that the beans had no flavor. It looks like we both complained about small portions. There are no free refills here on the drinks. Parking is limited. They do accept cash or car. I will not be coming back to this place. Not sure if everybody else feels the same way. First of all…anyone that has rated this place anything over 2 stars does not know anything about good Mexican food. The carnitas were dry…the carne asada was over peppered. Pepper on carne asada!!?? The guacamole was bland, the red sauce they give you is flavorless and watered down…I paid $21 for 6 tacos and 2 drinks. I came in from Las Vegas and was staying at Double Tree and passed this taco place and I remembered growing in So. Cal as a kid and always loved the small taco places….this one was not one of them....

All I have to say is God bless this place. I called in my order and the service was friendly and quick. Once I received my order (the special with pastrami) I realized I had been missing out on heaven for a long time now. The flavors are out standing. I am not a fan of guacamole at all and that thing was packed with it, and I loved every once of it. The special definitely is special! I only gave the atmosphere a 4 star because the lot is small so hanging out there would be a little hard but this place is...
