listen i love this place i really do. i went with my husband on our baby moon, i talk amazing about this place to my tables when i serve im a local and enjoy the food and service everytime. i took my best friend for her birthday breakfast here this morning we were quoted 10-15 mins we waited closer to 25 and thats okay. we went in there and got our food. toast in my meal was forgotten. that’s okay. waited for refills on my drink multiple times. that’s okay. but what’s not okay is how i was treated my my server. i ordered an extra side of crazy for my country fries steak breakfast usually it comes with very little on it so i got an extra side. i realized i didn’t need and and just wanted it off my check. i asked nicely to have it taken off and the server told me they can’t take off something i ordered. i understand if i touched it but it wasn’t even touched. i didn’t even use it. i had her grab her manager and the manager told me the same thing but then proceeded to take it off. then my server looked at me and said “usually when someone orders something they pay for it either way” listen i get it. i’ve been serving for 10 years. i’ve been a server since i was able to work. i’m a local and live down wears valley. i understand but what i don’t understand is how someone can tell me i cannot take something off whenever i didn’t even eat it. i work hard for my money. i do. i work 12-14 hour shifts as a server and i have a 3 month old. i work hard. i get the hussle to rack that bill up. i don’t appreciate anything that happened there today. i thought this place was a family friendly environment and come to find out they trying to keep stuff on the bill to make more money for there tips. i tipped her over 20% because like i said I UNDERSTAND but embarrassing me in front of other customers and my friend is something that doesn’t slide with me. i will still sit here and say how great this place is because the food is amazing but my entire interaction this morning was distasteful and...
Read moreThe food was decent but definitely not something I'd return for. I stopped here because it was less of a backtrack than my usual breakfast joint before I start my journey home. The menu is a little weird. I've never been to a breakfast place that didn't have biscuits and gravy with sausage and eggs as a meal. You could get biscuits and eggs but it was a $3.25 upcharge to have sausage added. The gravy wasn't hot and was the thickest gravy I have ever seen. The biscuit wasn't bad. The little cinnamon biscuits they brought to the table with our drinks were like rocks. They were very stale and cold. I'm not sure what the point is of the truck in the middle of the restaurant covered in dollar bills. I wish the buffet was in the middle of the room. We were sat at the table right next to the buffet and it was a little uncomfortable having a crowd of people standing over our table while we were trying to enjoy breakfast. While sitting at our table, I did see an employee come out of the kitchen with a dirty paper towel and a bottle of spray cleaner go over to the buffet and stand over it while she was checking the food. I don't think either of the things she was holding should have been near the buffet. We got a French toast so that I can have the sausage to use with my biscuit and gravy. The French toast was not that great. We tried the bananas foster. The sauce had a good flavor but the bread is really weird. I'm not sure what kind of bread they use but it's slightly sour and tasted like a dirty pan. I regretted not making the trip back to the parkway to stop at my usual breakfast joint. The staff was friendly but the quality isn't worth...
Read moreThis is a very average brunch place in this area with passable food. Like many others have said, the wait for this place is quite long. We were a party of 3 and waited for almost 40 minutes for a table on a Monday morning. Thankfully the area had some pretty interesting shops to explore, so we were able to make good use of our time.
Food - The food was very average. We ordered the sweet potato pancakes with fried eggs and the buttermilk pancakes. We never got to try the buttermilk ones as the waitress got our order wrong. My friend also got a random fry on her plate and our food was served lukewarm. The taste of the sweet potato pancakes were okay at best but you couldn't really taste the sweet potato at all.
Service - Slow, but friendly. They seem to be very understaffed here, as with most places in this town. We waited 45 minutes for our food that arrived lukewarm. When we noticed the waitress had gotten our order wrong, we didn't even bother to send it back, as we didn't want to be there for another hour. The servers were all super nice, but it just seemed so crazy that such mediocre, bland food was served cold and at a snail's pace.
