The Original Hot Bagels — Restaurant in Pike Creek, Delaware

What the heck the way they treated me today was horrible and I ordered exactly at 7am and order here often say three times a week! My husband picked up Starbucks in Hockessin and then I ordered. They advised that they had just opened and that it would take approximately 15 minutes. I explained my husband had a meeting however, could they please rush I received a text from my husband at 7:06 explaining that they hadn’t had bagels delivered yet and could I please come back out so he can go home and prep. No problem I advise him and I got back in my car and went to the shop. I I arrive there at 7:18. I was given my husband‘s sandwich. However, when I asked about my plain cheddar bagel, I was told there were no cheddar bagels. I then said I will take another bagel. I see you have egg This was with the tall young blonde man. However, then a young man who is shorter with dark hair told me I would not be allowed to get any bagel for me and that I would be able to get a refund.. I said I see bagels can’t I just get any bagel for my breakfast? What about me? And he advised no sorry I cannot give you a bagel so here I am at 7:24 almost home and I have no breakfast. It’s why I gave the food one star I can’t even tell you today what it would taste like and this customer service is unacceptable! I can’t understand how they took an order allowed me to go and come back and then REFUSED to give me the order. They certainly didn’t value my time or my business and proved it by their actions. I guess they get so busy it doesn’t matter how they treat people. We just received a response and an apology. We will see what happens next time and we will possibly revise review. We will keep you posted!

Here we go AGAIN! Another day where I waited almost 23 minutes for three breakfast sandwiches. They are nice people however I watched what happened and they forgot my order! Saying sorry doesn’t cut it when you have raised prices to $7.59 for a bagel with meat and cheese breakfast sandwich. Not an offer for a bagel or a juice nothing just oh yes sorry!

Went here for fresh bagels and a poppy seed with sausage, egg and cheese bagel sandwich. The prices aren’t cheap however the quality is very good and the bagels are very fresh. Called to place an order got put on hold. I had enough time to drive from 12 minutes away while still on hold. I pull up to the business walk inside, keep in mind I am still on hold there’s nobody being helped at the counter and I’m still on hold. I got to listen to how the people at the front wanted to go to the outlets and go shopping for the 12 minutes I was waiting on hold while they are having conversation instead of helping customers. Meanwhile the first guy who put me on hold claims he didn’t know the phone I’m on hold with is still on hold. Even though the phone is legit facedown infront of him while I’m talking to my phone. Didn’t get an apology nothing just excuses about how he didn’t know yet he was the only make up from which means he’s the one who took the call and put me on hold in the first place. Won’t be spending my money at this business again. All I wanted was an apology it’s different if they are slammed and helping customers but when I can clearly hear they aren’t helping customers but conversating and I had enough time to drive from my house to the business that’s ridiculous. Edit to my edit: visited again while in the area; lox cream cheese still the same; still had to double check that it was lox.

Edit: Despite the owner's comment below, the lox cream cheese is still a disappointment. It simply doesn't taste like lox at all. In what I spread on my bagel, I observed maybe 3 or 4 tiny fragments of lox. I get lox cream cheese all the time in the places I note below AND regularly in New York, and they all have way more visible lox and lox flavor. It just seems very miserly.

This is what my whole wheat everything with lox cream cheese looked like. I double checked just to confirm that's what I indeed got. They said that's just what the lox spread looks like. Not a scintilla of lox to be seen or tasted in the spread nor of fiber to be found in the bagel. Had I ordered a regular everything with plain cream cheese, this would have tasted great, but this was rather disappointing.
