Valle Cucina — Restaurant in Pike Creek, Delaware

This review is based mostly on service received. I had visited their website, clicked the order online option, then chose the day and time I needed my order to be ready for pickup. After that I proceeded to place food items in my cart. I had some special instructions for a particular food item and decided I better call and place my order over the phone in order to ensure I received the proper item. Upon calling, a gentleman answered the phone and I had told him that I'd like to place an order for pickup at a specific time, he proceeded to tell me they do not take pre-orders, (mind you the website has the option to choose time of pickup, or I wouldn't have called in the first place). He said I'll take the order this time but in the future would not. During the call, he was very short and blunt and his demeanor was certainly conveying that he was annoyed. I had told him the only reason I called to ask for my order to be ready at a specific time, was because their company website has that option. He totally ignored me. My past experience when placing orders by phone with other restaurants, would always be with the order taker repeating the order back, to ensure they got the items correctly. Not this place, or at least not the guy I spoke with. The guy was dead silent, I had to ask him if he heard the items I requested. He response was a blunt yes. I said ok, thanks buddy and he abruptly hung up on me. To make matters worse, when I went in to pick up my order, I asked the girl taking my payment if she could tell me who took my order. It turned out that it was the manager/owner named Frank Jr. I said to him, you were very rude and acted as if I was a bother when taking my order and he acted surprised. He probably never expected a response. I had said, you should be more polite and appreciative of your customer's and do better. I know one thing is for sure. If my business doesn't seem important, my dollar spends everywhere and it certainly will, every place but Valle Cucina on Limestone road. It wouldn't matter if they offered the best food or not, if management does not appreciate my business, they'll never earn my business again!

I have been going to this establishment for years with my family. I rant and rave about this place hence us coming for my boyfriend's birthday dinner on 3/6/2022 with a party of 4 (2 who have never been) + 1 baby and was unexpectedly made to feel uncomfortable by the staff due to my daughter being in a high chair that THEY placed at the end of the table. Mid-way through our meal, one of the many hosts that were doing nothing but standing around in the back of the restaurant told me that the manager requested that she come over and tell me that I had to move the high chair that they placed due to another reservation being sat next to us of a party of 3 (which was a lie - it was a really a party of 2) although we have sat in the same exact spot with a party of 6 + 1 baby with the high chair in the same exact spot & a party of 4 next to us, which I exclaimed to the hostess but she couldn't have been bothered. Again, this happened MID MEAL - its no small task rearranging a table that has plates & people eating mid meal. Not sure if this time we were treated any differently due to the party I was with being mixed with African Americans this time around but I have never been treated as such prior. Also, Nora, our waitress, was whispering with such hostess obviously about our table, making me feel even more uncomfortable and as if my daughter wasn't welcomed. I ended up not eating my meal and removing my daughter & myself from the establishment until the others were done their meal - I sat outside (thankfully it wasn't cold, otherwise we would have had to of sat in my car) but I am so disappointed and am questioning whether I will ever return to the establishment at this point and for sure will not be recommending any families with...

I am so disappointed with my meal from this place. I have heard good things since I moved to the area, but perhaps my idea of good really differs from those who enjoy this place. I ordered the 2 crabcake dinner and it was the worst crabcake I have had in a very long time (I said it because I forced myself to eat 1). For $39 the crabcake should be pretty good, however the only true thing is that it is made with lump crabmeat and pretty much no filler. Unfortunately, thats where the good begins and ends. The crabcake had no seasoning what so ever and the aioli that comes with it does not provide the flavor to save it. The asparagus was cooked perfectly but again it didn't even have salt & pepper on it. The small buffalo chicken pizza my daughter ordered I am not sure how that tastes because I could not even wait for her to eat to write this review, that's just how disappointed I am in this dinner. Also, I specifically asked if the bread that accompanied the meal was breadsticks as they have them on the menu for $5, I was informed yes they were. That was not the case, instead appears to be just 2 pieces of bread. I asked because I would have preferred to order the breadsticks, based on the menu description, perhaps I would have given it 2 stars if I enjoyed them. I had a long day working from home while not feeling my best so figured order a quality dinner for takeout, but this was not it. Hopefully management will take this review into consideration and address this dish to make it more enjoyable for more patrons. As always just leaving an honest review.
