The Edge Fitness Clubs — Local services in Pike Creek, Delaware

Good Evening Google Family. I have been waiting for eons to get here. They have been working on it for months. Finally the Grand Opening was Thursday, November 2nd. I had planned on attending, however I was too tired and exhausted to make the drive. I decided to come instead on Saturday, November the 4th. I enjoyed the drive down here. Most pleasant it was. I have to say when I arrived at the Edge Fitness Club in Wilmington, DE, they had balloons all over the front desk as a welcoming for any new folk. I arrived and proceeded to walk to the Women's locker room. Then I went to the Women's area to work out. The Women's Work out area is truly the best thing about the Edge. If females are subconscious about males, then they can work out in this area without any males around., They had the sauna, the Edge Cafe and the Garage, which houses power lifting equipment. I looked for the Edge Cinema and there was none. Angela, who works there, said there was no Cinema. I heard that if the Garage does well, then the Garage will replace the Edge Cinema. I was not at all thrilled about this breaking news!!! I enjoy watching the movies and seeing a different movie every day. The gym had that new odor smell, because the place is brand new. Also I loved that all of the equipment is spanking NEW!!! They do not have the pull down machine in the Women's only section, and I miss that. However, they have a rowing machine there. Also I liked that the changing rooms say vacant when no one is in there. I love that, because now you don't have to knock to see if someone is already in there. I loved the big showers. This Edge is not at all large like the other locations and that is because there is no Cinema. I will not be back because of that, plus no pull down machine in the Women's section. Just wants to take your money!!! Contract is a gimmick, DO NOT SIGN, will be a process to cancel if they even let you. Make sure to check your charges from the Edge every month, they seem to add charges whenever they want and blame it on ABC Fitness. I had insufficient funds in my account in November so I called to pay by a debit card over the phone, since then they have continually charged that same card when I gave no permission to have that card on file or to continue reoccurring charges on it. Since I have joined the gym, my reoccurring monthly charge is always on the 8th of every month. I ended up emailing and canceling my membership on December 9th after I talked to the general manager, Brad, in which I received the worst customer service I have ever experienced. He didn’t have a care in the world to take the time to explain unknown charges on my DEBIT CARD (which they did not have permission to charge again) and had a very sarcastic attitude with me - the best part is he offered me a free protein shake to make everything right LOL. It specifically states in my contract that “My membership will continue until written notice of termination of said agreement is received by ABC Fitness Solutions LLC. I understand that I must give 30 days written notice prior to the charge date of the month I wish to discontinue.”

So 30 days from December 9th would’ve been January 7th, 2 days before my reoccurring charge but they decided to CHARGE MY DEBIT CARD EARLY on January 6th this month so they could get another monthly payment out of me.
