KFC — Restaurant in Pikeville

When I was a kid, my grandfather would buy KFC for the family, almost every Sunday. We would get out of church, head home, but stop at his house first to eat. My grandmother would ride out and get it, then we would have a great dinner.

But, in the past 5 years or so, I've only eaten there a few times and I will tell you why. If you pay attention, the place is always dirty and looked like no one cleans. The chicken looked and taste old, not to mention, it wouldn't even be luke warm. Several times and I am not sure how this happens, the skin on the chicken would be so tough and rubbery, you couldn't bite through it, you had to just try to pull it off.

The biscuits would be hard as a rock and the coleslaw felt like is had been under a heat lamp, it was so warm. The service was terrible, the people there taking orders were not nice at all. Some of them looked like they needed a bath. Which they fit perfectly because it was so dirty on the inside. Several times, while walking in, the floor would be so slick with grease or lack of mopping, I have almost fallen.

I wouldn't tell my enemies to go here and eat. It's not worth the money, the food has gone down hill and it unsanitary. I would give this place a 1 star, but I am doing 2 stars, 1 of them just because of my childhood memories, with my grandfather and grandmother.

Went to the Pikeville store today and I was very disappointed. While the food was good as always, the service was not. The man behind the counter taking my order and the order of my family was very rude he acted as if he didn't want to take our orders I asked for mashed potatoes and gravy instead of fries with my meal he deliberately looked right at me and with a atatude said French fries right I said no but he didn't change it until my son spoke up and let him know that he got my order wrong my son then proceeded to order for the rest of the family so as to not give him a chance to be rude to them all the time my son was ordering the guy taking the order still acted as if he didn't want to. A little tip if you have some one who is acting in a manner as he was don't put them out front where they have to deal with the public, You will loose...

An absolute nightmare of a restaurant. Lazy people in back walking around doing nothing while people are backed up to the street waiting for their order..for an hour! Yes an hour. And when my wife became fed up with the incompetence there by everyone she finally asked to cancel the order..and their response was..well we can make your order right now. He'll no...get us out of this nightmare! Who owns this place? How to contact the owner directly? This place needs to fire everyone from the ground up to manager..and clean up the building..literally.....and start over. I'm done with them unless someone really reads this and cares and can make this right..and make assurances it will be fixed !!!!! Angela Brown...
