McDonald's — Restaurant in Pilot Mountain

We ordered a meal deal, the 20pc nuggets, 2 Medium fries and 2 medium drinks, but what what we really got was both fries could have fit in a small bag and we're burnt and just looks nasty. The burger I ordered separately was put together sloppily, a 2 yr old likely could have done better. Pictures to follow. People are paying to eat this food, having previously worked in restaurants I wouldn't dare serve this. It's pure laziness.

Update: 04/12/25 The employee working drive thru windows and speaker at first came off as rude, so once I got to window I re-evaluated, and he looked like he just about to have a total meltdown. He made "oh my god" comments through the speaker and had an attitude while taking our order. Upon seeing the state of this individual at the window (which seemed to be because of technical difficulties) that the manager was aware of because she was standing there with him. The manager should be pulling him from the window until he can gain his bearings and go back to work. But this is not how it played out. I even alerted the manager and she said she would talk to him. I don't think that's going to do much good, because either the employee is just rude or they needed to take a breather in which the manager failed to help with. Either way, this is an issue and needs to be fixed.

Update:05/10/25 The rude employee is still working the window and training someone and a gentlemen who is friendly, respectful and too old to be running meals out to the parking lot back to back is being ran ragged. The particular meal ordered today included chicken nuggets in which bones were found. While this is a corporate issue, I still think people should know, hence why I posted here. The piece of bone found in the nuggets is of large enough size to injure someone, photos will be included. Corporate has been advised of this issue via the contact webpage, however, I dont forsee any response....

Visited this location today using the screens to place our order and registered a table top number of 21. We ordered 2 double cheese burgers with extra pickles, 1 large frie and 2 large drinks. As instructed by the receipt and screen we took our number and went and sat down. 10 min went by and we waited. It was not that busy inside as workers were cleaning dancing and seem to enjoy their work location as they chatted with each other. About another few min go by and one of the workers yell out an order which matches ours. My husband goes to get the order, when another young gentleman steps up takes the bag of food and drinks. We wait a little longer and I head up to the counter. As I walk to the counter the young gentleman who took the order from the counter returns the bag of food and picks up another order and leaves. Obviously he took the wrong order. I then had to wait for one of the dancing conversating employees to see me standing there in order to get two large cups. As I went back to the table my husband states to anyone one listening, mainly Sherry, we assume the manager sitting on her laptop in the back corner of the restaurant, what is the point of providing instructions if you are not going to use or follow them.

Absolutely HORRIBLE!!!! They ask if your using the app and when I was just picking up 2 mobile orders they had already charged my card and took my points just to get to the window and be told the frappe machine isn’t working properly so they could give me a different drink!! Like WTH! Really I paid an extra $5.50 for a subscription drink and now I hear this! They gave me the $ back for the special drink but the meals come with a regular drink wasn’t even offered when we ask about our points being given back the rude girl at the window proceeds to get snarky rolled her eye me and said NO! I mean my hard earned money had been spent is how those points even accumulated and now they ripped me off for 4500 points and no drink plus the $2 I still had to pay! Didn’t get all of the food we ordered and paid for had to ask for the happy meal and drink then pull off and low and behold the machine magically worked for the other order but wasn’t even offered to be given any kind of drink for the first order!! I still missing a chocolate shake had to go inside to even get it and was looked at like I was a horrible person for walking in and asking for the kissing chocolate shake!!! I’m so done the pilot mtn McDonald’s is the ABSOLUTE WORST!!!! Need to trade them out for a burger king or...
