Lubell's Ice Cream Parlor — Restaurant in Pine Mountain

I'm new to town and decided on a whim to go support this business, after reading all the negative reviews on here. I'm glad I went to check it out but I don't plan to go back. The ice cream was fine. Blueberry cheesecake hit the spot. My two scoops of ice cream in a cup were $8.75. Fine, whatever. But my payment seemed abruptly demanded from me from across the room, while I was still being served. After the girl finished scooping my ice cream and closed the case, a woman sitting in back of store either gestured to her or cleared her throat or something.. Girl then proceeded to re-open the case and scoop some of the ice cream she'd already served me out of the cup and put it back in the ice cream case. How ridiculous. Also got the impression that the woman in the back and the one at the register were mocking me the entire time I was in there. Bad vibes all around. No thanks. I'll take my business to someone who appreciates...

So we were on pine mountain to pick something up and was recommended to visit here for great ice cream. We decided to get a fruit smoothie and a chicken salad sandwich combo. First, if you tell me I am getting a fruit smoothie. I think real fruit not some liquid poured over some ice and blended. But, the taste was good juat not what I wanted. I wanted real fruit. Second, the chicken salad was not food at all. My sister and I both threw our meals in the trash. It taste like a low brand store bought chicken salad. However, everyone has different taste buds. So I say try it for yourself. On another note the customer service was impeccable to say the least. We felt welcome from the time we arrived until our departure. Took my family for Ice-cream here after eating at a local restaurant. The whole place seemed a bit shady but the service was very friendly and fast. The icecream we had here was very gritty almost like powder. My wife got a waffle cone with 2 scoops. One strawberry and the other coconut it cost $10.70 and she was quite disappointed. I got a waffle bowl with a brownie Sunday it was okay. But the ice-cream seemed gritty on it also, and it was also $10.70. Overall I doubt we will go back to this overpriced hole in the wall.
