Updated for our 2nd visit! Our second visit to our new neighborhood spot a mile up the road. Hot crab dip with pretzel bites was delicious! Philly cheesesteak and a pulled pork with pineapple sandwiches were huge and so good too! The sandwiches themselves would have been enough for dinner! Great live music to boot, just a girl and her ukulele. It was her first gig and was very impressive. Bartender Anika welcomed us back with great friendly service again!
First time there and have mixed reactions. The atmosphere and service was good, two person band behind us in the bar was playing great music and not too loud where we couldn’t still have a conversation at the bar even sitting just 12 feet away from them. My bourbon and club soda was a nice pour, not too heavy or weak. My Chesapeake Bay chicken sandwich with lump crab was delicious, but the wife’s crab cakes came out looking good but burnt black on the bottom. Sent them back and waited over 15 minutes for them to come out while I had already finished my sandwich. The crab cakes came out still way darker on the bottom than the top, but were still delicious. Seems like they cook them in the oven rather than pan frying which would be faster and easier to have both sides cooked equally. I told that to the bartender who relayed it to the kitchen. Without us asking she took it off the bill. I spent 25 yrs in the industry so that was appreciated. All in all the food was good…fresh cut thin fries orders extra crispy were delicious! Because they just recently opened I’ll give them time to work the kinks out and we’ll return again since right in my neighborhood. Their other location has great reviews so I hope this one will follow suit! All in all it was a...
Read moreThis little place and jungle Terrace is a great place. The food is phenomenal. The entertainment is great. And the staff is very attentive and willing to go above and beyond. It carried on over to their new place which is why I’m leaving this review. It’s off of 66th St. and 97th Ave. where the old Pinellas Grill used to be. It was a big step for them to take on this amazing venue. The two owners Shani and Tim partnered up with one of the bartenders Renee from the original Tiki’s and her other half Shawn who was Kitchen manager from the toasted monkey. They opened up a couple weeks ago. And with some advertising and word-of-mouth, it’s finally getting out there in the Pinellas Park area that they’re open. Just like the original Tiki’s in Saint Pete food is phenomenal. They’ve added a couple things to the menu. The staff is amazing which they bounce back-and-forth between the two Tiki Tim’s. And the entertainment is always top-notch. One visit and either trying the amazing Philly cheesesteaks or the authentic lump crabcakes...
Read moreWe went there Monday for their opening night, my daughter, son-in-law and grandson. Food was excellent. Service was good. Hope this place does well at this location, will definitely be back. Had the 1 pound peel N eat shrimp and their buffalo chicken dip for appetizers very good. Philly steak was good with the fresh cut fries and I had the hot Italian beef with fries. Also excellent. Yeah, my grandson had the barbecue chicken strips a little bump in the road with his order, but it was their first day. I’m sure they’ll get it right next time. Five stars will...
