Located in Pinole, CA, Ristorante Due Rose is a hidden gem that my family and I have come to adore. With a passion for authentic Italian cuisine, this restaurant has consistently delivered exceptional dining experiences that keep us coming back for more.
From the moment we step inside, we are greeted with warmth and hospitality. The intimate atmosphere creates the perfect setting for a peaceful and enjoyable meal. Despite being tucked away and often unnoticed, we appreciate the serene ambiance that allows us to unwind and savor our time together.
One of the highlights of Ristorante Due Rose is undoubtedly the talented chef who crafts some of the finest pasta, steak, and fish dishes in the Bay Area. Each bite is bursting with flavor, showcasing the chef's dedication to using fresh, high-quality ingredients. Whether it's the Linguine Carbonara with added broccoli and chicken or the perfectly cooked salmon, every dish exceeds our expectations.
During our recent visit, I indulged in the linguine carbonara, my wife the salmon, and our two sons enjoyed the steak and prawns. Every plate was a masterpiece, leaving us completely satisfied and eager to return for more culinary delights.
What truly sets Ristorante Due Rose apart is the intimate dining experience it offers. With only a few tables occupied during our visit, we were able to enjoy a private meal without any distractions. It's rare to find a restaurant where you can truly unwind and enjoy a quiet meal with your loved ones.
In conclusion, if you're a fan of Italian cuisine, Ristorante Due Rose is a must-visit. From the exquisite dishes to the tranquil ambiance, this restaurant embodies the essence of fine dining. Read moreNice local Italian restaurant that my dad introduced to us, where both my mom and dad enjoyed this restaurant since the opening, as well my wife and I have enjoyed since 2007. The food is delicious (they make really good sauces), the rosemary rolls are something else and I generally order the chicken parmesan, and my wife orders the angel hair pasta or the fish special, and its a homerun every time.
For the negatives, the location is not ideal, (generally busy) so parking is limited with the Dollar Store and other shops in the vicinity, where unlike other local Italian restaurants (La Strada in San Pablo for example), Due Rose décor doesn't give off that same Italian vibe as La Strada.
For me the vegetables are always undercooked, and the mash potatoes served with the chicken parmesan seems out of place (because it is an American food), where Due Rose should have the option of replacing the mash potatoes with an Italian side like Polenta or Pasta.
My wife and I visit Due Rose at least twice a month, where most of the time we order take-out, which the food is still delicious when we get home, as well for leftovers...

It's our close-by under-rated go-to Italian bistro that's always glad we're there, for ritual unwinding on Friday nights over food and wine with a staff that gets our affection for the comforts they bring, certain that we won't be disappointed with anything. Expensive? Not. Behind that modest storefront is an intimate atmosphere, service as near to perfect as I know and that Italian cooking like mama's home made. The cook/chef is a real pro. I haven't had everything on the nicely-balanced menu but what treats I've had. Properly prepared and completely satisfying. They have a short list of moderately priced wines and good selections by the glass, the most expensive under $10. It's not a place I would go for a cocktail unless I'm sitting at the bar watching basketball. I'd like to see one or two different desserts and maybe a different table bread. And that's it. Can't wait for Friday night to...
