Taqueria Morena — Restaurant in Pinole

Great food but... I can't believe what I just saw at this place today 8/10/19 What a nasty owner, he doesn't deserve to have such a great employees. I saw a customer tipping $40 and introduce them in the tip jar, the cashier was so happy about the nice action of this great man. The owner of this place, his wife and daughter were having a conversation with this amazing guy and when he saw such a 40 dollars tip told him right away that it was "too much tip" and took him from the tip jar and put them in his pocket and left the restaurant with his family. You had to see the sad face of the waitress, this touch my heart and felt so bad about them for having such a horrible and nasty person as a boss.

Hope the crew can find a better job where they can be treated with dignity...

This is by far the most authentic Mexican food I've had. I order their Combo Burrito all the time, it comes with chicken, steak, & shrimp. Their shrimp is what really calls me in, it's perfectly cleaned and deveined (other places don't devein their shrimp). The sour cream and cheese melts perfectly with everything that it makes a perfect mold of each other. I would recommend this place all the time, when I recommended it to my co-workers & friends, they all fell in love with the same burrito, and other food too. I order online for pick up and they always make it right on...

I recently visited Taqueria Morena and while the food was delicious, the customer service was extremely disappointing. The staff member who served my 12-year-old daughter, assuming she was alone, was quite rude and inattentive. It felt almost like a slight abuse of power, not knowing that I was watching through the glass divider. Such behavior is unacceptable and greatly undermines the dining experience. I hope the restaurant addresses this issue, as the seasoning of the food alone is not enough to compensate for...
