Normally I'd give this place 5 stars because their food is pretty good and very affordable but tonight I was quite disappointed. I ordered a chicken katsu burger and when I arrived home and opened the container, my burger had no chicken katsu. Not even any other kind of patty. I kept calling to see if anything could be done but they kept answering and hanging up or leaving the phone off the hook to not answer the call. I'm actually really upset because that was all I was looking forward to for dinner and I've never had this bad of an experience here before. Update: it got worse. I honestly don't like leaving negative reviews but when the service is THAT bad you kind of have to warn others. I went back with the food because I wanted a refund and the cashier was so rude and unwilling to give me a refund. Ohana Hawaiian Barbecue offers some solid choices when it comes to Hawaiian Barbecue.

Personally, I love the chicken combo: barbecue chicken and chicken katsu.

The ribs and beef can occasionally be salty, but the rice and macaroni salad can often balance that out.

I also like the fried fish, but I don't like the fried shrimp. They tend to come out too crunchy and I don't really get a sense of there being any shrimp present.

The spam musubi is solid, but over time I felt the restaurant was giving me less and less spam. In a way, it's healthier, but it's also less value.

The place accepts credit, but the credit minimum is $2. Of course, just about anything you order will be above the minimum with the exception of just a drink or single...

This place is delicious! No frills doesn’t mean jeopardizing flavor and quality here. The macaroni salad is very good. The rice is nice and fresh - not dried out like some places that serve rice all day. The chicken katsu is delicious, tender, and crispy. Their sauces are good too.
