Our party of 5 women was very excited to have a night out here! We planned it a month in advance and aimed to hit happy hour. Unfortunately we forgot to check the show schedule and didn’t make reservations. We showed up at 5 but they were booked with reservations for the whole night. They told us to come back at 8 once the show next door started and the bar would be open. We went back at 7:45 pm to be sure and grab any seats as they opened. (Bar seats are first come first served.) The atmosphere is very lovely and a seems to be a great place to eat and drink. However, no seats opened up. The hostess was eventually able to accommodate us and we got a table! We all were so excited! We sat down and our waitress came over and gave us the drink special run down. She said she would grab some water and give us a moment to think. She came back with two glasses for the 5 of us then said she would be back with more glasses. We waited and waited. People who came in after us were served and it became quite apparent that our waitress had no intentions of coming back. As 9 pm approached with no waters, no waitress, and the feelings of being an inconvenience we left. We realize they didn’t have to seat us and that would have been fine. The overall experience is getting three stars because the hostess attempted, and the atmosphere seemed fun. Considering the result though, 3 stars feels very generous. We had all been looking forward to our night out since we saw their martini’s advertised at the 9 to 5 play weeks prior. The 5 of us agreed that this is not an option for any of our monthly meet ups in the future and we would rather patronize other establishments in the future…with reservations if there is a...
Read moreDon’t ever go to Martini’s on Broadway! My husband and I were here about a month ago with a bad experience. My husband sent an email to the business with no response. A group of my friends made a reservation for 6 people for our annual Christmas lunch for 2:00 today and the person who made the reservation weeks ago received a call asking her to change reservations to 1:00 because they had a group coming in at 3:00 pm. No problem. We agreed to 1:00 and made sure we could have lunch. It was confirmed that we could. When we got there today, the hostess was very rude to us saying that she had us down at 1:30 and to not “shoot the messenger!” Not happy with this but nothing we could do about it, we came back at 1:30 and sat down to find out that we could only order the the breakfast menu. If it weren’t for the fact that we were waiting for another person to get there and that we had 6 people, we would have went somewhere else! I ordered a Hamburger on a bagel (medium) minus the egg and my Hamburger came raw. I ordered a chocolate martini ($15.00) and they were trying to get us out of there at 2:20 pm and took my drink and my friends drink when we weren’t looking. Came over to us at 2:20 pm and told us that we needed to wrap things up because they were having a party at 3:00. Food and drinks may be good, but the service is awl full and I will never walk in there again or recommend this place to any one ! What a disgrace!! They need to get their act together or they’re going to lose a lot...
Read morePretty disappointing. The portions are tiny, bland, and way overpriced. To start, we ordered the Spanish Mussels, and they were on our table in less than 2 minutes. I know it may seem odd to complain about fast service, but it's impossible to prepare such a dish in so little time. It was clear they were just reheated (or worse, something returned from another table). They were essentially mussels with tomato sauce poured on top of them. Next up was the salmon. For nearly $30, it was a small piece of salmon with a sliver of rice next to it. The salmon was way overcooked, dry, and under seasoned. It was on par with salmon made by someone who has never made it before. The person I went to dinner with (who is an admittedly bad cook) laughed and said "hey I can cook it like that!"
Next issue: what is this place even supposed to be? Based on the menu and prices, I was under the impression it was trying to be on the upscale side of dining, however due to the bar and sports playing on the TV, it's so loud inside you can't even hold a casual conversation while eating the $130 worth of small plate food on your table. I don't mind paying for food, and I don't even mind paying for good food in small portions, but paying big for small portions of mediocre food is another story.
Other than that, the staff was nice, we were seated quickly, and overall the...
