This shop is filthy with tons of flies all over the shop, the tables and coffee bar. It seems like a health hazard to even be in there let alone get food / drinks from there. I got a latte that I didn't even end up drinking because flies sat in it.
The guy with the long hair and twirly mouchtache who took my order was so rude and seemed completely uninterested in being there or even talking to me properly. He got annoyed that I asked for the order for here and said "uh, we're closing in an hour..."! Like an hour is not enough time to finish a cup of coffee. I guess he didn't want to have any more dishes to clean up. People like this are the problem. Completely lazy, rude and uninterested in being there. Why not do something else then and spare others your misery? There's other things I can say as well but I won't waste my own time or others'. I would never go back, the service is abysmal and the shop straight filthy. Seemed to be better years ago from what I remember.
UPDATE: What a condescending, rude and gaslighting response from the owner. But thanks for the response because other people can now also see the lack of respect and accountability from you.
For the record, the garage door was open but there were so many flies all over that area, on the tables, at the bar and like in mentioned originally, in my coffee. If people can't even sit peacefully at their table with the food or coffee that they got without flies being all over it, then what's the point? The aren't even flies like that outside so they're clearly attracted to the unsanitary conditions of your shop. If you don't understand how much of a health hazard that is, then I'm sorry I don't know what else to say.
Also, if you read my review correctly, then you would see that I was referring to the long hair guy with the moustache giving me an attitude and telling me you close in an hour when I told him I wanted my coffee in ceramic "for here" and not a "to go" paper cup by default. I don't think that's an unrealistic ask when there's still an hour remaining. But I probably should've taken the coffee to go so I could've actually drank it without flies being all over it. The guy was also super rude and did not seem like he wanted to be there at all. A hopefully example of customer service. Not sure if that was you or not.
Lastly, please don't try to gaslight and intimidate me about my review and talk negatively about me. I choose to make my voice heard when I have a negative experience so that I can help others in the future provide some accountability. That's my prerogative. It seems like you can't handle negative feedback or that you don't want to accept responsibility/ accountability for your practices. But thanks for reinforcing my original...
Read moreIn town for a wedding and found this gem through a few quick searches. The 4.8 rating is very well earned for the service, overall vibe, and (most importantly) world-class coffee experience. I was that type of customer who asks for a reco rather than having an order pre-sorted and at the ready in advance of arrival. Emily did not steer me wrong. "Hot or cold? Do you like lattes? Spicy or sweet?" The answers to these simple but well targeted questions brought me face to face with a "chili agave latte". After selecting whole milk I was later informed that this was the best milk foam that she had achieved all week. I rounded out the order with a toasted everything bagel with cream cheese. This was beyond a shadow of a doubt the best latte I have ever had in my 30+ years on this lovely rock. The chili perfectly highlighted and complimented the deep notes of baker's chocolate present in the Sawmill House Blend (a bag of which I purchased for later consumption). The level of agave sweetness was perfect and required no alterations. I enjoyed my modest breakfast in the beautiful sunshine just outside the open garage door window as Harry Stiles helped nurse me back to life after a night of pre-wedding embellishment. The staff was extremely accommodating, thoroughly chill, and seemed to be on a first-name basis with all of the regulars. I have started to fall in love with Pitman, NJ and might start looking for homes here. All thanks to Endgrain Coffee Roasters....
Read moreI found out about this quaint and cozy place, thanks to a wonderful End Grain Coffee Porter brewed by Kelly Green Brewing Co. , also in Pitman, and recently decided it was finally time to check them out.
I very much enjoyed their espresso, which I found was not too bitter, not at all sour, with a sultry crema and rich body.
I was also intrigued by a Nitro coffee offering, and pleasantly surprised. It reminded me of when I finally discovered craft beer. Much like my very first samplings of IPAs, my taste buds and palate were shocked by this new Nitro coffee introduction. Do I like this? Do I not like this? What are all these new flavors and sensations?!? I found myself with an almost addicted sense of coming back for another sip. I added nothing, yet there was a slight sweetness. I will be back for more!
Not sure who makes the iced lemon cake or enormous oatmeal cookies, but they're very delicious - so if you like sweets, don't forget to grab some...
