I got a Hawaiian Sunday because it looked so much healthier than those other chocolate and caramel treats. Ok, ok... They all looked wonderful. I actually had a hankering to have some of their treats but haven't gone that way much.
I must have got there as something let out because it was very rushed and the segues between lines don't really help knowing who's next. (Luckily the COVID-19 six feet kept us in a loose jumble rather than a tight jumble).
The crowd, however, was quite quiet. Most of the children were cautiously waiting in line trying to decide what they were getting.
The number 232 was voiced over the intercom and I looked at my number 288; I was looking at a very long wait. On almost that glance, my sundae appeared in the lovely hands of the personal retailer (she rang me up when I ordered.
The Sunday was vanilla (never plain- always vanilla frozen custard. It was covered with a mix of sliced strawberries and lovely pineapples - and in extreme overkill for a sundae so fine in the l previously stated ingredients.
The children got quieter as the food came. I noticed the staff took this immediate flux from the rush to what appeared to be down time, to restock things that were needed.
I noticed though that I hadn't heard a single curse word. I would imagine that this open air grilling with this completely reasonable restriction has actually become a benefit to both sides (the staff-who shouldn't be talking in front of children, pretty ladies and erudite and urbane gentlemen)
I'm going to, as it gets colder, watch how quickly weather affects them. I'd hate for such a quick let down so soon by the weather after the flux of the pandemic.
Next time I'm going to get a burger. I think I'll try after my full day of...
Read moreI stopped to get lunch with my mom and drove through yesterday. We ordered veggie burgers and my mom said that hers wasn’t very good but she ate it anyway. She ended up being nauseous and sick to her stomach all night. As for mine, it was the worst made veggie burger lettuce wrap ever. I’ve never had one so bad from Freddy’s. It was just squished up with a little bit of lettuce on both sides, not a wrap at all. I guess I need to look at the order before leaving the drive through from now on. I can’t believe that whoever made it thought that it would a decent meal for someone. I have ordered these from Freddy’s in Kansas City and they were so delicious and beautifully wrapped with lettuce that I even commented to the person that made it how great it was. He told me that Freddy’s had them take a class on how it’s done properly. I think maybe the Pittsburg, Kansas store should send their employees to take that class. I for sure won’t be stopping at Freddy’s in Pittsburg Ks anytime...
Read moreI came here on a Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. I was exhausted and after a few hours of driving I was ready to grab some food and head to my hotel I have never been to a fast food restaurant that took 10 minutes per car to order and then get their food. The speaker at this location you cannot even hear in the Drive-Thru above a whisper. Then when I get to the window I was charged $16 for a hot dog and what I thought was fries with cheese and a medium iced tea. When I questioned them again what my order was they agreed it's $16. I drove all the way to the hotel only to find out that the french fries with cheese that I ordered on the side actually had chili cheese spread all over them and we're inedible. I'm assuming the mistake for this was mostly due to the broken speaker in the drive thru and the staff who doesn't know to double check the order when a customer asks about it! If you...
