The atmosphere has a very elegant and romantic feel. It reminded me a lot of a cigar lounge with the element of a speakeasy. I could definitely see a lot of dates occurring here.
The bartender, Madison, did a phenomenal job making my 1892 cocktail. It is very similar to an Old Fashioned. My wife enjoyed the Apology cocktail. It reminded me of a white chocolate mocha frappuccino.
The waitstaff was great. They were very friendly and very attentive to the customers.
Lori and I both tried the meatballs. The meatballs were dense with a nice crust on the outside and were very well seasoned. The sauce was VERY flavorful and chunky, the way i like it. There wasn’t one flavor that over powered the dish. The combination was very well ballanced. The presentation was that of what I’d expect at an upscale restaurant.
I can see this place growing a lot. Maybe a poetry night, light jazz band, or a pianist night.

Read moreThis coffee shop/cocktail lounge has been transformed into such an amazing place to hang out. They have used the Canary in the mine theme, and it is decorated and furnished with such comfort and ease of getting around. It's spacious with lots of seating, and with the furniture, it easily transforms into the cocktail lounge. I have been twice for coffee with friends, and I'm a bit obsessed with the beautiful barrel chairs. They have changed the menu to cater to everyone's likes. I love the savory items. I have had the breakfast wrap with homemade salsa and the savory biscuit. Both were delicious, and you got a good amount of food for the price. They have lots of pastries and crepes that are both sweet and savory. These ladies have done a fabulous job of turning this spot into a place where you will want to hang out with friends on a...
Read moreWe had a group with us, and we decided to try this for the first time. Nice atmosphere. About the same decor when The Root was there. Ordered our drinks. Not lying, it took almost an hour to get them! And all we had ordered was wine, and whiskey on the rocks! They did offer us a complimentary cheese and cracker plate, which was nice. What was even funner was getting the bill. Took yet another 20 minutes just to get that! If I wasn't a good citizen, I would've thought they'd forgotten me and left! We probably would've stayed for more drinks, but we'd already wasted time waiting for the first orders. They at least kept bringing us water...
