I'm going to be honest and say I chose this place because they had the best health report, and it was very recent (I've worked in and seen many gross things in restaurants..) the food was fresh. That wasn't at all the problem.
We had 2 small children (6 and 3), and it was a mildly slow Monday night. I came in holding my passed out 3 year old. Instead of seating or asking about a booth that fit 6 (which we were with the kids), we were put in the center of the dining room at an all chairs table for 6. It is what it is.. I looked down and saw my side of the table had not been wiped down, and there was dry sauce and crumbs.. hostess throws the menu on top and bounced. Before I had the opportunity to ask about the booth table, they sat people in them.
Server comes, and I've moved the menu aside so the mess could be seen and so I could read it over the sleeping potato sack I have no choice but to hold and after placing my order, i still had to ask for a towel to clean it up. She says, "Oh, gosh, yea!" Comes back a minute later and hands me the towel.. to clean someone's leftovers myself with my half of a free arm 🙂 luckily I wasn't grossed out since I've been doing this very thing for years so it was more so a "..really?" Moment.
Fast forward and our friends ordered some bar drinks, we get some Sodas and a drink for the awake child. N/A drinks arrive.... the gentleman friends drink arrives... appetizer arrives... server disappears. We ask for more chips for the appetizer a bit later from a runner.. Still no cocktail for the lady friend so asked about that, too. We see no one until the food runners bring chips with the entrees about 15 minutes later. About half way through the meal the server shows up. Friend asks about her drink, server says "sorry. The bar is really busy. I'll check on it"
When we've just about finished the meal, server comes back and friend asks to cancel the drink. Server says the check is ready, we ask about splitting it, server says oh, I didn't but I can.
And I get it, it's a huge reason why we closed our restaurant- the worker pool isn't huge, but they are teachable with time invested. We actually got legally married (nothing but signing document that said MARRIAGE at the top, but it was being discussed, not loudly but clearly enough for her to have to hear it, at the table and the server didn't so much as say congratulations. Read moreMy husband and I went last night and waited quite a bit to be greeted and sat after we watched a manager sitting at the bar looking at us when we walked in the door. Before anyone come over to us he got up and left out the side door. After we sat service and food was okay. Glad we had the bartender and not the bartender and not that server. Then we observed a older woman and her grandson come in and workers saw them but no one came to greet or seat them. It was very noticeable no one wanted to work. After a bit grandma decided to seat them herself. Then a few minutes later someone walked to the table and took them menu's. Grandma already got them menus. The girl rolled her eyes and walked away. Then about 5-10 minutes later their server walked to the table afteer the little boy went to the bathroom completdely poor attitude askes what their having to drink her ordered her drink and said you have to ask him when he comes out stating she didnt know what he wanted to drink but ordered his food She replied I'll just get him water. He comes back and grandma goes to the bathroom. She walks up to him and askes him how he wants his steak cooked an nothing about his drink, he stated he didnt know about the steak. Most little kids couldnt answer that. Tells him she'll come back in a few minutes. 10-15 mins go by an their server is just talking to another worker clearly not caring about her table. Grandma still hasnt ordered her food, we told her the server asked him about the temp of his food a long time agoand never asked him about his beverage. When our server saw that she went to their table and the lady ordered with her. 5 mins later their server walked up to them. Thru out their whole entire meal their server completly was terrible. The little boy had yo wait till his food was cold for her to bring him some lemon. Terrible attitude, terrible timing, simply did not care about her service to them. I dont understand why that girl hasnt been fired. Complete piss poor attitude. From watching that, makes me not want to ever go back there. Read moreMy visit had potential to be a great one. The triple dipper was great and came as it should. However, my friend and I ordered the ribs and they came to our table completely cold it was as if they took them out of the fridge and put them directly on the plate. When we let the waitress know, she did put in the order to fix it but it took so long that by the time we got warm ribs, we were full from the app/other parts of the meal that we couldn’t even eat it (shoutout to the corn that was amazing!). From the time we were done and first asked for a box to the time we actually left the restaurant was around a 30+ minute timeframe. It took awhile to get a box and then the pos system was confusing as we were trying to split a bill and no one there (manager included) seemed to know how to do that/help us. The manager was not friendly and did not apologize for long waits or the fact that we asked for help several times while trying to figure out their pos system (as young, capable people I might add - why are the customers responsible for figuring this out regardless?😭). Their bathrooms on top of everything were not clean. There wasn’t toilet paper in my stall so I had to hobble to another one and then that stall’s toilet wouldn’t flush. It seemed broken. This was all made more frustrating when we could see several employees standing around talking to each other instead of stepping in and helping. Overall, a disappointing experience.
