I have been to this place twice now. The first time the food was ok but the pricing was a bit misleading for burger night with fries with what you actually get for the 5 dollars. My partner and I gave it another shot on a Monday for the half off brunch. First issue was the lack luster service, the young girl who ended up waiting on us was pretty much on her phone at a table close by the entire time. We each ordered a brunch item which is supposed to be half off and on their menu it states tots are included, the girl asked us what flavor we wanted for the tots and she put the order in. 5 mins after placing the order, she came over and stated they were out of chicken for the brunch tacos one of us ordered and asked if beef can be used instead which we said ok to. When she returned with our food one order came out as Beef Tacos instead of the Brunch Tacos substituted with the beef instead of chicken. The other had a nasty hair in it found after 2 bites. We were also served two massive baskets of tots way too much for 2 people and we were confused as to why she didnt say something when we ordered it. This should be a small side item which was supposedly included with the brunch item. When we got our check we found the girl had put in separate basket orders of tots and charged full price for the tacos and not half off for the brunch item. We were still charged for the one dish that had hair in it which she did have remade but honestly should've been comped after something like that. Clearly she seemed confused on our orders and We didn't want to waste anymore time there so we paid and left and don't plan on ever going back. Total ended up being 40 dollars when it should have been 20 dollars. I dont know if its just me, but Coaches seems to be intentional about being confusing on the pricing for the Specials Nights. This was the the second chance we gave them, definitely...
Read moreThe food here is great! We ended up here tonight because I was in the mood for a really good burger. And coaches has really good burgers. The last time we were in we saw a sign advertising .45 wings on Saturdays during college basketball. So it was perfect. I got my great burger and my husband got great wings at special.
We sit down and coincidentally the wing special sign is hanging right next to us. So my husband says he wanted to order some and pointed at the sign and the waitress said the special is from noon to 5. I said well it just says Saturdays during college basketball. She said it says the time in the menu. Now this is bothersome for a couple of reasons. First when you are walking by the place or are sitting in the restaurant I find it very misleading and somewhat snakey not putting a time restriction if one on the advertisement. Second I did check the menu under the daily specials and it states Saturday wing special noon to 5.
So in conclusion it's not really a "college basketball Saturday" special, it's the every Saturday daily special they have all of the time. Now if the special was indeed what the sign advertised with no restrictions other it being Saturday and college games on it would be considered an actual special.
I know this may not seem a big deal to most but as fans of wings at a place that normally charges a buck a wing it is a big deal when deciding where to dine. And we obviously weren't the only ones misled and disappointed. There was a couple that sat next to us when we were waiting for our check and went through the exact same discussion with the waitress and each other that we went through when they went to order.
The food we ate was great. The missing star is due to false advertisement. I even took a pic of the sign so you all can judge...
Read moreWe will never return here again. We entered the restaurant and aimlessly walked around tables until an employee finally directed us to one (which wasn’t clean); the table still had crumbs and water from the previous guests. After cleaning the mess ourselves, we waited 10 full minutes before a waitress attended us; she even had to ask if anybody checked in with us already. While waiting for food, we were asked on two separate occasions to physically separate and move our own tables and chairs to accommodate a larger reserved party. To top it off, a random guest asked us to hand them chairs that were left against the wall between our table. Then, another random guest literally squeezed themself behind my seat to get their phone charging from the wall outlet. The food was decent and our waitress was very polite. Other than that, the atmosphere and service was very underwhelming. A very poor first impression...
