Great pizza, great people. Three blocks off Grandview Ave (downhill). Three blocks back pushing my wife in her wheelchair (uphill). Worth. Every. Step. Lots of locals stopping by for an order. We may have been the only out of towners. Always a good sign. For some reason they did not allow dining in. Had to order through a takeout window. We ate at plastic picnic tables on a busy corner. We ordered a calzone with bacon and extra cheese. They brought it out to the table when it was ready, then went back in to get us plates, forks and knives. Great service. The calzone was great. Crust was terrific -great taste and bite. Filling was melts, cheesy, bacony, and piping hot! Wow. Just great. Plenty for two people. And good price too. Nice people, great food. Worth a stop if you are visiting Mt. Washington in Pittsburgh.

Great, cheap Pizza. It’s not the best Pizza Ive ever had, but for $13, it was definitely a good one. Sauce is good but a little heavy on the oregano. Pepperoni is good quality and not cheap slices. You order from a small window in the front. I’ve seen a few reviews where people state that the ladies at the window were rude? They were nothing but polite to me when I ordered and picked up the pizza which only took 15 minutes total. Would recommend if you’re looking to feed a few friends on the cheap. Parking is wherever you can find on the street.

I regrettably walked here from the Duquesne Incline in windy, 24-degree weather because I'm a visitor and didn't know the serious trek it would take to get here. Mumbling to myself, as I climb snowy hills, this place better be worth it. Good news! It was SO worth it. I got a pepperoni, sausage and roasted-red-pepper calzone and it is damn good. The fresh ricotta is perfection. I might just be back before my trip is over ... But this time I'll uber.

I absolutely LOVE this pizza shop! It's the home of The Big Slice, which is actually the size of TWO pieces of pizza! When you walk in they almost ALWAYS have slices ready. You simply pick your slice & they pop it in the oven... my favorite part about the pizza here is, not only does 90 seconds in the oven make sure the temperature is perfect but it makes it a little crispy on the bottom & around the edges, EXACTLY how I LOVE my pizza slices!

When I dine-in at Cestones, I almost always get the same thing EVERY single time: A "Big Slice", a can of Orange Crush soda, followed by a single-scoop Cookies & Creme ice cream cone. They usually have chocolate, vanilla, rainbow (aka Superman), and cookies & creme. It is hard, hand-scooped ice cream to which toppings, such as sprinkles & nuts, can be added... (they also make really good milkshakes).

The most AMAZING part about Cestones is that the Grand Total for "My Usual" (Big Slice plain + can of soda + ice cream cone) is only $5! $5.50 if you get pepperoni. Easily, the best deal on all of Mt. Washington! I go there at LEAST once a week!

For those who drink beer, they also have a nice variety of single cans/bottles, 6-packs & 40oz's. And an off-street parking lot is located directly across the street.

I give Cestones a big 5 Stars for their delicious food, friendly staff, speedy service & very reasonable prices. If you want a quick, delicious, affordable lunch or dinner, you MUST check out Cestones on Virginia Ave on Mt. Washington. You will...

I've had a couple of bad experiences here. Once, I called for a pizza and french fries and was told it would be ready in 5 minutes, which seemed ridiculously fast. It took me at least 10 minutes to walk there and I waited for an additional 15 minutes standing out in the cold before it was ready. Unsure why they felt the need to give me such a wildly ambitious estimate, but it ended up wasting my time.

Anither time, I ordered over the phone, arrived at the window, and was told they did not have my order at all. Just a bit unorganized all around.

The pepperoni pizza was pretty good. Probably still the best option on Mt. Washington. The fries were a disappointment. They were undercooked and not crispy at all on the outside. I've ordered the hoagie on several occasions and can say they are solid,...
