Don't go here. Went for coffee in the afternoon and no decaf. How does a place that calls themselves a coffee shop not serve decaf? We've gone here a few times and the same guy is always there, must be the owner. We played the quarter push arcade game at the front of the store, but couldn't play in peace without him breathing down our necks. There was a $100 bill set up towards the back of the machine, and some other lesser bills towards the middle. He comes over anytime he doesn't have a customer to wait on (which is quite often) to see the progress we've made and how close we are to getting money out. He kept asking us how much money we put in so far and how much we got out - he seemed very nervous that we were going to win the money. It was very uncomfortable. Since we were making some progress on moving the $100 bill forward, I jokingly asked him (as he was standing over our shoulders) if we came back tomorrow if it would be in the same spot or if he moves it to the back every day. He said no and that the company that owns the machine handles it and he doesn't even have a key to it. At one point we were getting close to winning a $20 bill and he came over and told us that the shop is closing and we had to leave. No shop hours posted on the door so I couldn't tell if he was lying or not but it was very shady. We went across the street to have lunch at the Shiloh Grill and noticed that the shop remained open for at least another half an hour AND we saw him open up the cover to the game and move money around inside of it, despite him telling us he had nothing to do with the...
Read moreDon’t come here! Coffee was the WORST I have EVER had, and I always drink local coffee when I travel! It was VERY dirty and poorly managed. Counters were filthy and all the coffee machines that have probably been in there since the 90s look like they haven’t been cleaned for years! I sat inside and waited for about 5 minutes observing the poor condition everything was in and with the cash drawer sitting wide open and the fact that nobody was inside. Finally someone (I guess the owner) came running inside to take my order. I asked for a hot Carmel Latte and I got a luke warm cup of what tasted like a cheap gas station coffee and when I took a drink the entire bottom was literally full of coffee grounds! At $5 a cup this guy is probably doing very well for himself getting one-off business from tourists like me who will probably never be back anyways! Save your money and go ANYWHERE ELSE!!!
The owner was nice enough to give me my money back but I cannot believe they even bother keeping this place open. They also own an ice cream shop next door that is just as dirty and poorly run. Their soft serve machines are some of the oldest and grossest machines out there. Again, don’t...
Read moreThis is a cute little coffee shop just under a mile from the incline and the over look spots. The owner owns both the coffee shop and the ice cream parlor which are right next to eachother. It is literally the only coffee shop in that area so, you'd think this place would have... workers. We (6 people) plus another party walked past the ice cream parlor and into the coffee shop and found it open, but empty. We assumed that someone was maybe busy in the back and would be right out. About 3 or 4 minutes of waiting, I hollered out hello? Nothing, I did this several times, and no one came. So weird, then we thought maybe the owner is having an issue with his expresso machine because it was all taken apart. Finally as we were leaving, after 6-7 mins, the owner came in and looked like he was annoyed that we were there. Made our coffes and then stormed out after we left. Walking by the ice cream parlor we saw him sitting relaxing talking to a woman. Sorry we interrupted you. Maybe hire an employee to work one of...
