NEW LOCATION- on Baum Blvd.  Layne’s Chicken is famous for their hand breaded chicken.  While there, obviously had to give the tenders a taste.  They were so good- perfectly crispy.  Their golden crinkle cut fries and Texas toast are a staple that come with a meal.  The fries are crispy and crunchy.  The Texas toast is a nice touch!  They have a variety of sauces, but I fell in love with their Layne’s sauce.  They also serve gourmet milkshakes that are delightful.  Tried the Oreo- it was so good, the consistently was perfect! Super friendly and fast service! There are a few locations popping up throughout Pittsburgh- so be sure to be on the lookout and try Layne’s!

This is a late review 😫 but better late than never ☺️. I ate here a few weeks ago meeting a friend. The music playing had me dancing and singing. I was greeted by Charity, owner, she was pleasant and kind and she liked my positive attitude and gave me one of their signature cups 🤩. Nate, Charity’s husband and also owner was also kind and friendly. The food was delicious and FRESH! The service was quick. Their hospitality was top tier. They checked on us and offered us samples. Ever since I have been craving chicken fingers and I’m long overdue to go back 😆. I highly recommend this location. Lovely couple!

Places you shouldn’t eat or waste your time or money…. I attempted to get this $15 value of a tender meal corrected and the customer service I experienced was distasteful, horrible and a complete disregard of my travel and time as I went out of my way to get this issue fixed. Layne’s is not consistent with quality and rude when you ask them to respectfully make things right. Photos provided.

Went to try the new Baum location and was disappointed. Upon walking in it smells like a Petland or like dog food. The girl taking my order seemed completely unknowledgeable when trying to add my rewards. After they made the food and said order up the two cashiers including the girl were just standing there trying to figure out another simple issue with a customer while I just stared at the food that was ready for maybe about 3 minutes. I then interrupted her saying can I grab the food that’s ready then she replied back no you may not you want a job here? Obviously she can’t do her job to give food that’s ready that I would need to get it myself.

Then regarding the food itself, small fries portion, and the chicken itself was mediocre compared to the Oakland location. 5 tiny pieces of chicken which wasn’t even filling. Not to mention the chicken didn’t feel cooked through all the way and felt hard to even chew. I’ll stick with the Oakland laynes and never go...

4.5/5 Similar to Raising Cane's, but Layne's has the option of spicy strips (good heat without being overwhelming). Even their sauce(similar to Cane's) is more peppery. Layne's also offers several other sauces Their chicken strips are crunchier than Cane's, but mine were also smaller. The portion of fries also seemed small. Over all, great experience, restaurant was kept very clean and the woman at the counter was very friendly. I downloaded and ordered my food on their app, but it doesn't show that I earned any points. That said, I'll be back, it is nice that they have parking, unlike trying to eat at the Cane's by Pitt. I also hope to try a milkshake when I come back.

I recently visited this restaurant, and I am absolutely appalled by the conditions. The place is filthy, with mold and dirt everywhere. It's clear that cleanliness is not a priority here. The food was disgusting and seemed dirty, which is completely unacceptable. However, I must say that the staff was wonderful. They were friendly and tried their best despite the horrible conditions they have to work in. It's obvious that the company treats its employees terribly, and it's a shame because the staff deserves better.Overall, I would not recommend this place to anyone. The management needs to step up and take care of both their establishment and their employees. Avoid this place...
