DISCRIMINATION AGAINST CANCER SURVIVOR I have been unwell & exhausted since cancer 2 years ago. I know I look awful, but a dear friend helped me catch up on all my laundry, and I wanted to take her to a nice place. We went in, asked if they were serving outside where it was less crowded - as every table inside was full of people eating - and they said they'd be right out with them, and they did bring them. But then, we waited. And waited... Nearly 20 minutes later, the waitress comes out and tells us, "The power was off all night," and so they would, "not be serving any food tonight."
In addition to all the tables of people eating inside, another table outside was just finishing off steaks. We thought their saying it was due to the power outage was a little odd because the power had only gone off briefly in the neighborhood at lunchtime, but things happen, so we ate elsewhere, no biggie. However, on the way back, we were shocked to see the outside tables full of people who have been eating and finished their meals and others who have been provided Dinner menues. Your waitstaff very clearly, purposefully, got rid of us.
Ok... I know I look awful. After initial weight loss, I've ballooned out & am stuck wearing what's comfortable - not what's fashionable. I can not wear make-up because my skin has become ultra-sensitive. But I am getting better. I started with a trainer & dietician to re-boot my metabolism. So I will get back in shape, and have my hair done and fit in my nice clothes and be able to walk in heels. Your snobby attitude? Yeah, the prognosis is not so good for you.
And just so you know? My "diet" includes red meat to boost my hemoglobin, so we were going for steaks...
Further, I spent over $75 just for the two of us at the other restaurant. If your food and service were good, I was going to take my father, his g/f, his buddy, and another dear friend there for a special celebration dinner. I'm quite certain the others would be having apatizers, soups, desserts, and multiple drinks with their meals. And... Don't think you didn't lose out on more than my usual 30% cash tip... Know this: Cancer Survivors are some of the most connected...
Read moreThe atmosphere was nice. Cool vibe. Sat up front with a group. Service was great! Very friendly and everything came on time. I got a burger because I was told that is their specialty. I was disappointed. First we had a debate over how to have the burger cooked. My friends who have been there before advised me that they are not always consistent with the cooking. I opted for medium as I like my burger to be juicy. My burger on the other hand came much closer to well. It was dry and very had to get past the charred tast from their fancy grill they talk about using. My burger seemed more blackened then anything else. Each bite tasted dry and of charred/ blackened flavor. I was less than happy with my burger. The soup was ok however that was an interesting choice of noodle for chicken noodle soup. It was like eating Campbell's chicken and stars only for $5 a bowl. Home fries were tasty but again the grill flavor was over powering. Maybe they just need to clean the grill better. Or this is how it always tastes. Either way I will not be rushing back to eat...

I’m not sure what the story is behind the name of this location, but either way, it is a very cool establishment. My husband I visited here on a date night and had a wonderful time. Very clean and neat, service was wonderful, and food was amazing!
Very nice bar in the front with TVs for watching sports. There’s a really nice staircase in the bar as well. I’m not sure what is upstairs, but it’s very pretty to look at.
I got The Sunrise burger. My husband got the Bourbon Burger. Fries..so delicious! A lot of great meals to choose from including burgers, wraps and entrees. Soups, salads, melts. Sandwiches and chicken sandwiches. There are desserts and lots of drinks to choose from.
