I have been dying to try a breakfast sandwich but it’s never been in the cards for me time wise. Today I was driving past after a doctors appointment and there was only 1 person in the line! I almost took out the small tables that were at the business next door as I parked so quickly like skurtttttt. Lol no but seriously I was so happy I finally got the opportunity. Ordered 2 Becky’s. One without cheese. And grabbed a donut. You already know from other reviews that this spot is banging! Everything is perfectly concocted. The egg is perfectly, I mean perfectly cooked. Not boogery or runny at all. Had its firmness to hold up to the rest of the sandwich but still managed to have a little bit of runny deliciousness for that extra little condiment… the bacon is thick and they don’t skimp. The roll…. That poppyseed roll… it was soft but like biscuity… held up to the sandwich also perfectly. It never broke or crumbled.. it didn’t get soggy or soft… every bite is perfect. The donut was also great. Soft yet slight crunchiness on the outside. Loaded with sprinkles but they weren’t those plastic hard ones that break your crowns… they melted in your mouth with the donut. Highly recommend for you to try them out. I will definitely return when I’m in the area even if there is a long line. It’s 💯 percent worth it. Staff was friendly and they’re cranking out the goodness!

Had been wanting to try this notorious Pittsburgh breakfast spot for a long time, and finally got the chance on an abnormal weekday off work. And all the hype about their breakfast sandwiches seems to be completely true. I stopped by around 9 AM on a Thursday, and was able to order right away, and only waited 5 or so minutes behind about 7 other people, so they move fast, while still being very pleasant. The area (outside Bitter Ends) has plenty of place to stand and ledges to sit or lean, and there are a few tables near the food truck where you can sit and eat. I decided to go classic and get the Bacon Egg and Cheese, which was honestly one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had before. The bacon was thick and the egg wonderfully runny, while the griddled onions, spicy ketchup and green onions provided perfect flavor compliments. All this was brought together by a kaiser style roll that was perfectly griddle toasted to provide both soft chew along with crunchy edges. My only regret is that I wasn't near hungry enough for more food, since the portobello and avocado sandwich also seemed like an amazing choice, and now I'll have to plan at least one more trip to give it a try. Overall, this is definitely a must try if in or around the Bloomfield area when the stand is running.

People forget, A breakfast sandwiches doesn’t have to look beautiful on the outside. It is already beautiful on the inside of its buns and inside my belly. This Jimmy (add bacon) just happens to look beautifully delicious on the outside too. Perfect way to start a Saturday. Just wish I could be lazy on the couch after that peppers, egg, bacon, and hash brown sandwich goodness, but will have to push through the day for work. The Thyme Machine never disappoints. If you are looking for a quality breakfast sandwich to start the day or help recover from the night before, this is the spot to go. Though it’s more than just a sandwich, it’s flavored to the max. Everything is home made, from the rolls to the sauces to the donuts. In a nutshell, it’s beyond worth the trip.

So our daughter said, (I am paraphrasing here) "Mom, dad, I have a place to go for breakfast sandwiches tomorrow morning. They make an incredible breakfast sandwich. And I know what you are thinking because I thought the same thing, how great can they be? It is a just a breakfast sandwich. Well, I tell you , they really live up to the hype!"

Although my wife and I were both thinking to ourselves, it is an egg sandwich big deal, we know and respect our daughter's opinion when it comes to food, so Thyme Machine in the morning was our plan.

FAST FORWARD TO MORNING

Nice warm morning. Walk towards food cart. Large group of people milling about waiting for their sandwiches. Woman taking orders. Man cracking eggs into rings on grill. Wife not happy to learn only choice is fried egg with varied additions and sauces because she does not like fried egg. Me, not a fan of the pretentious combinations offered. We reluctantly pick our selection and wait.

We finally sit at table that is set up in street and open our sandwiches. They are hot, fresh, drippingly messy and DELICIOUS!!!

As my daughter told us the day earlier, they do live up to the hype. Everything about it was great. The bread, egg, veggies and sauces. Something has to be said when a woman who hates fried eggs said, it was a perfect breakfast sandwich. What more can I say?

I guess I can say, try and go at an off time...a weekday rather than weekend to cut your wait time. From what I hear, the wait can be very long on a weekend morning. And you know what? I can...
