I ordered cheese fries to go in the restaurant and my total came to $5.34. I did not leave a tip since it was to go. The server was Hadassah based on my receipt. I noticed on my bank statement that I was charged $7.34 which means although I left a $0 tip someone in this restaurant decided to give themselves a $2 tip. This is called fraud and stealing from a customer. This is totally unacceptable. I want other customers to be aware of the Primanti Brothers on Carson Street but also need corporate to be aware of the scams going on in your restaurant with your employees. I reached out to Primanti on Carson Street when they opened and spoke to Chelsea the 'Manager' I explained to her what happened and she said give me about 30 minutes to get through the lunch rush and I'll look into and call you back. Chelsea called me back and let me know that was a mistake on their part and she could credit me the $2.00 back. She then proceeded to tell me that she needed my bank card number over the phone. I told her I will not be giving her my bank card number over the phone she said well you can come in so I can fix it. I informed her I will not be coming in to make a special trip for their mistake. She said well I cant fix it for you if you dont do either of the two options. As a manager I cant believe she thought it was okay to ask me for my bank card number over the phone when clearly her employees like taking extra money from customers. She also felt like it was okay to inconvenience me to ask me to come in as if I have time to pay for their mistakes or scams. I told her that is fine I'll call corporate. She said okay and ended the call. Consumers check you bank statement if you have been to Primanti's on...
Read moreThe food was really good, I will argue that it is a pretty huge sandwich but I do feel it is what makes it their sandwich. I would make sure you go on an empty stomach. I did see they have a lot of options for just about everyone! If you’re out here in Pittsburgh it is for sure a must stop!
Our original waiter Mariah was the nicest most humble person I met there, she gave us the full rundown of the menu and gave us some really cool history about the place when we asked about the menu. I really couldn’t have been more pleased with her energy and willingness to make sure we had a great experience while we dined in.
I had a very unpleasant experience with the lady who came in after her which I do believe to be the manager of the restaurant. She was extremely rude, didn’t care to help customers when they asked questions and also demanded Mariah to come out of the kitchen to answer a question for customers instead of trying to help them herself. She made rude gestures towards Mariah while Mariah was in the kitchen doing her job as well towards the customers that I overheard and that to me is completely unacceptable. It creates an absolutely toxic working environment as employees should be striving to do the best for the customers rather than trying to belittle other employees to customers.
Even through the chaos Mariah still came out with a smile and checked us out and I couldn’t ask for a stronger woman even after the toxicity she just dealt with. I would really like to speak with the owner on this situation as it was extremely disrespectful on Mariah’s person...
Read moreWalked into the restaurant and didn’t even get greeted or noticed. After no response from anyone after 10 minutes I walked up and sat at the bar while I was also waiting for my friends, still waiting on anyone to pay me mind I ended up asking the only person behind the bar (which ended up being the manager) for a menu and she said nothing and set it in front of me. When I was ready to order she told me shes not the bartender and to go and find her and whenever I walked over to place my order they said they didn’t have any food because they were out of everything meanwhile they’re serving sandwiches in front of me. I then ask for a beer and then the bartender hands me a cup of water demanding I drink this first while saying sorry and peeking over at the manager indicating she made her do it. Funny thing is that I was stone cold sober and only wanted the beer because there was “nothing to eat” and I was waiting on my friends . So I sat there and drank the water and still received no service and ended up asking the manager why I wasn’t getting any service and she said it was “because you’re visibly intoxicated”. Im not a drinker at all so that definitely threw me for a loop and I felt extremely disrespected not only by falsely claiming I’m intoxicated but by also not showing me any courtesy as far as a greeting or even telling me herself how she felt so I left after hearing that. Worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant and will definitely not...
