The Smash Shack — Restaurant in Pittsburgh

I will start by saying my family and I travel a lot for our sons taekwondo tournaments, and every time we go to a city we look for “our restaurant” we take our boys to in celebration of their wins. We have found our spot in Pittsburgh. The burgers aren't good… they are amazing. The Marine ( I failed to catch his name) who served us was extremely friendly and welcoming. During our lunch a man who had fallen on his luck walked in and asked for something. The Marine pulled him to the side, as to not embarrass him, and politely handledthe situation, giving the man compliments but being stern enough to make a point. He even let him use the bathroom even though a sign was posted for customers only. The rest of the staff was incredibly polite and attentive to all customers. One of the first times I have no issues giving 5 stars in all categories for a google review. Keep slinging the best, and we will see...

The Smash Burger combo is awesome! I love having a decently affordable option open till 8 as well. Service is always great too. I always order online since it's walking distance for me.

The chili cheese dog is really good, ask for a knife and fork. It's big and messy like it should be.

The cheese steak is good to, but next time I order, I'm going to modify it for my tastes. Sub provolone, no pickled Jalapenos or Onions and add some mayonnaise. But I'm weird. It was still good, but the relishes were a bit too much since I'm basic.

And it's nice everything is made to order so they're happy to take...

I'm not going to waste time on how good the burgers are since everybody's commenting on it and it's true. I had the pulled pork sandwich with excellent barbecue sauce that they make in house. The waffle fry servings are ridiculously huge. I do want to comment on how unbelievably nice the folks who work there are. When a woman in a wheelchair came in they rearranged an area of the restaurant for her , talked her through the menu and her several requested changes. This is a place worth finding, great food...
