I have stayed at Hyatt before. They are always clean, have great accommodations and friendly staff. The one thing that was a bit if a bait and switch is their parking. I reserved the room and asked the operator if it included parking. They told me yes. The reason I asked was because of some of the other reviews I read where other customers said it cost extra. But with being told it was included I oaid s little more than staying elsewhere in Pittsburgh that had free parking. So I didn't think anymore about it and was shocked when my reservation went from $168.50 to over $201.00. I know some of the additional was tax. But to charge more fees on top of more for parking & tax on the parking was not fair to me as a customer. At least be open and honest up front. Don't wait until I show up to shock me. I could have stayed right across the bridge and walked across when I needed to. I know exactly why they do that, to keep you at their location once you've arrived. So you won't go somewhere else. Don't get me wrong. The place is great. Always comfortable and extremely nice. At $168.50 was pushing the limits on price. At $201.00 its robbery. Especially when they lie by ommission.

Stay: February 2023 - 3 nights First time in Pittsburgh, but a regular at Hyatt chains. The hotel is conveniently located for a weekend tour of Pittsburgh. Walking distance from PNC stadium, Heinz stadium, The Warhol Museum, Randyland, Point State Park, downtown Pittsburgh, Dusquesne Incline the overlook and more! The North Shore Area is quite (no games were scheduled during our trip) and we felt 100% safe walking at night with the kids. The hotel itself was clean and our room was clean and spacious. Shower water was always hot (not sure what previous guest experienced.) The staff working the front desk were all very nice and helpful. Complimentary breakfast is what you'd expect: boxes eggs, some type of meat, bread selection, fruit (banana, strawberry, blueberries) and coffee and juices. Enough to get us going for the morning. Note: if you plan to park they advertise parking for $16/night... But don't tell you that there is an additional $6/night parking tax. So really you are spending $22/night to park. Overall, I'd recommend this hotel and it's location for visitors looking for a place to stay when visiting Pittsburgh!

Upon arrival there was a bit of a wait as there was a bus drop off. The check out lady was kind and they got through the line fast. We went to our room and as soon as we opened the door the room had a weird smell. The carpets are a bit stained. I pulled the covers back to check the sheets and there were hairs all over the bed. Not a few a ton. I called the front desk and they were polite and said they would bring new sheets up. 45 minutes go by. Nobody brought them up. We went to the front desk and requested them again. The rooms besides the carpets looked updated. 6.00 for a bottle of water in the room and 20 something bucks a day to park is insanity. We came home after a few drinks and there was nowhere to get water so we had to drink the 6.00 bottle. The trash can on our floor near the elevator was piled up with trash. The shower area is so small and tight. Beyond that the workers were kind. The breakfast was Luke warm but at least it’s offered. For the cost per night I did expect better.

I left the hotel unsure if I was satisfied or not. While that seems strange, that is just the kind of stay it was. There was good and bad, but in the end the fantastic location would ultimately have me returning if I am in the area. First the good, the location is perfect for any sporting events or a show at Stage AE. I never felt unsafe walking from the venue, and I did not worry about my car while it was parked on-site. The room was spacious and felt clean. The bed was comfortable, and breakfast was probably the best (buffet-wise) that I have ever seen included in a stay. |On the not-so-great side, check in was so slow. I don't really mind waiting if it is super busy, but it was not. The front desk staff just had absolutely no urgency or welcoming attitudes. Thankfully, I got the nicer of the two ladies working, but at no point was I welcomed or thanked for staying. I realize that seems petty, but it honestly felt like the staff was bothered to be there. The older woman working was dismissive and did not seem to even know the amenities that the hotel had when I approached with a question. Additionally, when we came down for breakfast, three staff members were huddled at the front desk completely oblivious to any guests. While the bed was comfortable, the rooms are so noisy. Other reviewers mentioned street noise, and I agree, but I was also kept up from the noise in surrounding rooms. The walls must be paper thin. In addition to this, I was awoken by a strange noise in the bathroom vent at one point. I am still not sure what that was, but it was continuous and strange. I did appreciate having a small refrigerator in the room, but there was no microwave. This is minor but be aware no body lotion is provided. I normally pack my own but forgot mine and I was disappointed. I also was surprised at the lack of food available at the advertised on-site restaurant. I was traveling with a teen, and all the surrounding restaurants are 21+ after a certain point. One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was the website indicated "The Placery" was open Mon - Sun, 6:00 AM - 12:00 AM. This is untrue. I attempted to get food at 10PM and was not able to. |If the staff had been even a little bit friendly, the stay would have been rated much higher, but I would revisit with lower expectations due to the...

This hotel is in a great location that's easy to access off the highway. It's conveniently located right next to PNC Park and Heinz Field making walking to either super easy.

Parking was $22 per night during our stay (as expected) and included in / out privileges. I could see parking becoming limited or not available on busy weekends as it's just a surface lot, so it might be a good idea to get there around check-in if you intend to stay for a game. We arrived late at night and there were only a few spots left on what we were told was not a busy night.

The included hot breakfast was stocked even into the last 30 minutes and changed day to day from pancakes to French toast and more. There were a number of options, and it was nice to not have to leave the hotel or just be stuck with prepackaged items (which they also had).

The room we stayed in was nice and had a view of PNC Park as well as some new construction going on. Most of the hotel doesn't really have any views and I would assume whatever is being built next door will block the remaining view of PNC Park once it's done. The construction did wake us up around 7-8AM during the week but wasn't active on the weekend. Not something the hotel can control.

Housekeeping was only scheduled to show up at the end of our stay and the garbage can outside of our room was consistently overflowing. They did stop by once while we were there and took our garbage along with giving us new towels but that was about it. The room could also use a little facelift but otherwise it was fine. Not enough of a gripe to knock the hotel in my view.

The pool was clean and seemed normal when we went in. It's just a standard rectangle, indoor pool on the first floor. Not too cold, not too hot. No hot tub if you're looking for that.

Finally, the staff was generally nice and helpful any time we needed something. A light was out in our room and it was fixed the next morning. We got towels and other items quickly when requested without any issues. No problems there.

Overall, it's a straightforward, no-frills hotel in a great location. It could use some improvements and maybe a facelift to modernize the rooms, but it's generally a place we would like to...

We are from Philly and recently drove out to Pittsburgh to attend the Ed Sheeran concert and visit family. We stayed at this location for 4 nights. I wasn't expecting much, just a place to stay for the concert and I must say that this hotel totally exceeded my expectations!! The staff at this hotel go above and beyond to make everyone feel special, welcome and well taken care of. Prior to our arrival, manager Matt sent out an email welcoming the concert goers and had lots of helpful information. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly by the staff ( including a lady named Tameka at the front desk who is like the "mom" of this place, she is genuinely good hearted and you feel it the minute you meet her) . This hotel is immaculately clean and the housekeeping staff does an excellent job. Please note that this hotel has those quart size shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower that are affixed to the wall - like at a gym- and they do not have the typical toiletries like bars of soap , cotton balls, q tips etc. there is a sign in the room to call the front desk or house keeping if you need these items, but honestly it is easier to be sure to bring your own if you know this in advance. I was surprised by this at first, just not what we are used to, but the property more than makes up for it in the level of cleanliness provided. All areas of this hotel are positively clean! I have asthma so I would know . The breakfast included in your stay is phenomenal for a free breakfast in this price range. Honestly, I was really blown away by this place and I would go out of my way to drive to pittsburgh just to stay here again and find things to do in the area. If you need a place to stay in Pittsburgh,...
