Uzi’s is just what this South Side Flats neighborhood needs - just getting off the ground, food was fantastic (get the beet salad FOR SURE, the tzatziki was delish, and the chicken-orzo made my hubby so happy, more than enough for two meals), service was charming but slow, and the exterior badly needs a facelift to rid itself of the feel of the previous “club” which the neighborhood was ecstatic when it closed. Best new restaurant down here all around. Staff were the friendliest and most gentile folks I ever bought food from. As an italian these guys are doing pasta better than anyone else in the city for half the price of whatever they have to offer. Even their wraps are quality and filling; might be one of the best chicken wraps I've ever had. Don't tell my dad, but their spicy gnocchi goes toe to toe with the family recipe. Was having a terrible night and these guys completely turned it around. The inside of the place has a nice cozy vibe, the service was excellent and very friendly, and the food was delicious.
