I started coming to this lovely place after moving here and it has become my go-to place for breakfast and lunch whenever I feel like getting out of the house. Their breakfast sandwiches are legitimately the best I've ever had around here and their lunch sandwiches are to die for, especially the "Hot Tom." I love their baked goods too, with their muffins and eclairs being my personal favorites. They had apple muffins once too and they were well worth the try.
I decided to try their hummus and pretzels recently, and Katrina was super nice and helpful, she told me about the flavors they have and made a suggestion on the flavor to try. She was even kind enough to quickly whip up some more hummus of the suggested flavor when it turned out there was none left with the rest.
The staff are always friendly and I love getting to chat with them whenever I go in, they make me feel welcome and it's super nice being recognized when I stop in, it shows that they actually care about their customers.
Edit: Their apple crumble pie is absolutely...
Read moreVery disapointed the last 6months with the freshness of the baked goods. There IS a spot for "day old" desserts that are discounted but I would go in a few times a week for the sandwiches and see the same day olds, there for 5, 6, 7+ days. I've purchased Cheesecake slices that were older because you could taste the "fridge taste" in it, oatmeal squares marked fresh and sold for $2 a square just to get home and they have no taste and are stale and hard. And one time the cream puff I got, it's cream had gone sour- yes SOUR, OLD... and I decided to let it go. A month or so later I decided to try again and when I asked the younger girl working (not the daughter) if the cream puff was fresh and told her what had happened with my last one she instantly got nasty with me and yelled "then you don't have to buy it again, no one is making you"... I was apaled! I love the sandwiches there SO MUCH but the staffs friendliness and the baked goods freshness have gone down hill tremendously. Now I only go in once a month if at all. Wish it...

What a delightful serendipity to find this little gem. We did indulge in a generous slice of 3-layer cheesecake--regular, butterscotch and chocolate layers. What's not to love about that!!
Katrina was the perfect hostess--really our counter person, but we felt like we were so welcome. Her sunny smile on a gray day was alone something we really appreciated.
We won't hesitate to make this a regular stop on our semi-annual jaunts to Pittsfield, where we may have to try Kahlua cheesecake next time.
Five stars means they do...
