Long before I had fallen in love with the intoxicating smells of delicious food that wafts out from Crust in the evening, I had been in the area during the day, curious about what they served. Finally, after a few Friday nights grabbing fro-yo next door (excellent place for dessert after, shout out Ayelada!), I asked a few of the smiling, stuffed looking couples walking out how their food was... Nobody had anything to complain about. That sealed the deal for me. I deserve a treat. Who cares if it was an entire small white pizza with a ton of roasted garlic on it! It was absolutely perfect from pickup to eating the first slice... The genius of having an oven at the front register so that so know your pizza has stayed as hot as possible is big brain! Not to mention, when the employee has to walk all the way in the back- it just wastes time (there's always the risk of the food being dropped too). I think this is the most excellent solution. The hostess was super nice, energetic & she had a great smile to welcome customers. I ordered the most garlic possible, and was not disappointed. I had no problem enjoying the beautiful pizza, except that my 3 year old stole & ate with a big smile, 3 whole pieces while I was out of the room, garlic and all. I will definitely be back (with my 3 yr old). Thanks for having such an...
Read moreTerrible customer service. First time asked to leave a restaurant in my life for asking the manager to honor the prices on the menu given. There were 3 menus. A menu on the wall, a take out menu and the menu which I was given all with different price. The menu I was given did not include additional charges for different types of cheese, crust, etc. When I ordered pizzas and salads for my family, I based our order on what I saw on the menu given. When I saw the total price come to about $20 more than what I expected, the manager pointed out in very small print under the toppings on the other side of the page it said there may be additional surcharges. $4 for cauliflowers crust.$2.50 for vegan cheese, etc. none of which were stated on this menu. She said there was not enough room on the menu to include any additional charges (that is a first). I also said prices for some of the items on the menu I was given differed from the other menus (I.e.mixed greens). The manager said the owner was out of town and hadn’t gotten to updating the prices but the prices she was quoting me though either not stated on the menu I was given or different from those on the menu given would not be honored. She then told me if the owner was here, he would tell me to leave which she then told me. My family was all in shock...
Read moreI recently tried Crust Pizza, and unfortunately, it fell short in several areas. While the price is on par with other pizza places, the size and quality were disappointing. The menu lists the pizzas as 12 inches, but they felt more like 10 inches or smaller. I ordered three pizzas for just over $60, expecting them to be enough for the family. Instead, they left us still hungry—and me feeling a bit embarrassed.
To make matters worse, the pizzas were overdone, with several spots outright burned. It’s frustrating to pay a premium and not get the quality or quantity you’d expect.
With so many great alternatives nearby, like Teddy’s, Mannys in Dalton, Brooklyns best on north st or Russell Inn in Russell Massachusetts where you get much better value for your money, I won’t be returning to Crust Pizza. Unfortunately, this was not the experience I was hoping for.
Edit* not sure what to make of your reply as the business owner. My single experience has nothing to do with you winning best of the berkshires. Also, you did not address the fact that the pizza was burned and accused me of having some sort of agenda. Nice customer recovery effort you have...
