This was one of my favorite restaurants for the last 15 plus years. Great customer service and food quality with great portions. Over the last 2 months we, friends and family, have all noticed the portions drop and the prices increase. We understand the price increase 100% but not the portion decrease. The tacos used to be packed with meat and hearty I would say a good 5 to 6oz of meat now you are lucky if it is 1 to 2 oz. I have spoken to multiple servers who state, yes many customers are providing the same feedback, but months later no changes. When we inquired we were told it was 3oz of meat which I showed the server my taco and said I would beg to differ. Since we always order tacos to take home we decided to experiment on the Taco. The entire taco to include cheese, lettuce, tomatoe, shell and meat tomatoes, weighed 3oz and everyone knows the have an amazing big slice of red tomatoe and a huge portion of great mozzarella cheese that are YUMMY. So this shows that the meat was maybe 1 oz. PLEASE CHANGE YOUR PORTIONS BACK, UP THE PRICES AGAIN IF NEEDED, but many customers are leaving and I don't wantno be one of them I LOVE YOUR FOOD. yes I did speak to local employees multiple times prior to posting as I support...
Read moreMy husband and I Attended at Ester’s on a Sunday at 6pm I always get tacos but this I wanted to try some thing new, so i ordered a cup of tortilla soup, when it arrived it was in a bowl when I asked for a cup, then it was Luke warm, the broth looked like dirty dish water, their were large chunks of potato’s, some carrot’s and chunk chicken, as we’ll this was over salted as if the salt container fell in the soup. My experience with chicken tortilla soup would have had shredded chicken, some tomato’s, corn, blacken beans, tortilla chips on top with a sliced avocado and some cilantro. What I had gotten from Ester’s was Horrible so i sent it back also stating I ordered a cup not a bowl. Again I let the server know that I had ordered a cup not a bowl. He offered to take it off menu but I said I’ll try the Albondigas soup, the only good thing in it was the two meat balls the rest looked and taste like a package of frozen mix vegetables. Then the waiter brought it to me in a bowl when I specifically asked for a cup. Very...
Read moreI enjoyed this basic and unpretentious taco place. I went, seeking street tacos, and I found them. Had one chicken & one carnitas, with just onions & cilantro. Since I don't "do" spicy, I asked for the avocado sauce (not guacamole) on the side. Tasted a drop, and it was indeed too spicy for this definitive gringa. I must admit, I was rather surprised NOT to find a wedge of ubiquitous lime on the side of my plate. I would have liked to have one, but neither did I ask for it. The pre-meal chips were hot and freshly cooked, and I really did enjoy them. My hubby hadn't noticed the a la carte menu, so he paid $13 for 3 taquitos, rice & beans, and guacamole. He would have been happier without the rice & beans, and there probably was a pared-down taquitos plate, at a lower cost. It was just a Sunday afternoon, after church lunch. We were happy to be able to get a table right away, and have a simple meal. Thanks,...
