This place is great for a nice hot summer day or even for a late-night snack. (but not too late since they close around 9:30 pm)
This La Michoacana is located in a plaza with a Northgate and a Little Caesars in it. It is hard to notice from traffic, but the giant Northgate isn't. So just use that as a marker when looking for it from traffic.
This is like any other La Michoacana, white floors and walls, streams of pink, extremely friendly and charismatic workers, bags of chips stacked in the back shelves, rows of ice cream and popsicles, and the sudden urge to want everything on the menu.
I've had a handful of things here but I have not really dove into the more mouth-watering snacks. I've been blessed to try their Elote in a cup with Hot Cheetos dust on the top of it, their Hot Cheetos with Cheese as well as the more messy Hot Cheetos with Limon and Valentina, most of their Aqua Fresca, and some of their ice creams and popsicles. Read moreWent last night and the plus size employee with two French braids and a pug nose working on 1/18 was very bothered I was there as she was cleaning up 1 hour before closing. While placing my order she was very rude. She kept asking me to repeat everything and rolling her eyes. She was stomping back and forth and slamming the door to the back room. She rolled her eyes everytime I added another item to my order. I didn't finish my order because of how rude she was so I just paid for the items she had made. She only changed her tone when it was time for me to check out and she mentioned the machine is going to ask you if you want to tip. NOPE! I've been here twice so far. The first time, ordering the classic Arroz con Leche, because you're at a Mexican ice cream joint, and you better get THE Mexican ice cream.
The second time I got the Cookie Monster flavor, which had all kinds of good cookie mixes ground up in it, Oreo & Choc Chip Cookies I think.
Needless to say, they hit the nail on the head with quality & flavor, and have won me over as a customer seeking pure, creamy-sugary goodness straight to the dome.
