Arby's — Restaurant in Plainfield

Our family has stopped at this location many times over the past 20 years. It is reliably clean, has good service and food.

11/27/2021: The outside has been remodeled to compete with the new architectural stylings of McDonald's. We were traveling through Plainfield and needed lunch and a "pitstop" and stopped in. However, there was no visible, external signage that it was drive thru only. Our large family got out and were greeted with signage on the door about their drive thru only status.

Frustrated, we loaded up and went thru the drive thru, intending to hit the road side rest down the highway. When we got to the empty drive thru, we could no longer find the family favorite junior roast beef. In frustration we left for a competitor (not McDonald's) that we could go into AND we knew had the menu items we enjoyed.

Food was good and we had the dining room all to ourselves. Mac and Cheese bites were pretty good. My Jamocha shake was stellar as always, but there was one thing that stood out above the good food and splendid company. My wife was craving their classic Beef and Cheddar sandwiches. I ordered a second round of food and it was not quite up to par, only because the roast beef had a reddish color that would make it look undercooked. We were just gonna throw it away and not say anything. Before we left to go, a manager that was wiping down tables stopped by and asked how everything was. We told him it was great and I asked him if the sandwich looked cooked enough. He said it was fine but offered to replaced it with a more cooked version of the roast beef. He got us a new one and totally won the day. I think he made a good call that showed his commitment to excellence. They definitely have the right person in the...

I have had multiple bad experiences here lately. Constantly messing up orders or not giving everything that was ordered. I went today, and it was a process to order everything even though my order was fairly simple. I asked them to repeat it back, and it was wrong. I got to the window thinking it was fixed and they gave me the wrong items. I pulled back around to have it fixed, and I waited 15 minutes to get to the window again. They hadn’t even started making the item they missed (which was a large mozzarella stick), so they had me park in a spot. They then asked me again what the item was (given this was the 5th or 6th time) and then asked me how many were in a large mozzarella stick.
