With regret, I must share our less than satisfactory dining experience at Glory Days in downtown Plainfield. We began our meal with high hopes, only for them to decline swiftly. Our simple request to upgrade our order to poutine fries, even while agreeing to cover the additional cost, was initially approved by the chef, but unfortunately denied by the manager.
When our meals arrived, they were notably lacking in quality and flavor, trailing even popular fast-food establishments like Denny's. Of greater concern, my wife's salad came with chicken that seemed undercooked, if not completely raw. Despite this, no staff member inquired about our satisfaction with our meals.
Adding insult to injury, the bill amounted to $97 for a salad, grilled cheese, bologna sandwich, and two Old Fashions. Given the subpar quality of our meals, this felt overly expensive. As such, I would advise against dining at Glory Days unless you're comfortable with spending a considerable sum for an...
Read moreLast week, I invited a large group for lunch at Glory Days Bar and Grill in Plainfield. It was my first time dining there, but certainly won't be my last! Eva, the manager, was so accommodating and professional! She went out of her way to ensure we had what we needed, and her communication leading up to our event was stellar! Our server, Andrea, was awesome! We had a large group, and she took great care of us, always checking in to see if we needed anything. The service was prompt, friendly, and on point. The food arrived quickly, and was very good, too! Everyone enjoyed their meals, and we had a large variety of food. The burgers especially looked awesome, and next time I will definitely try the cheese curds!
The atmosphere was comfortable and inviting too.
Both Eva’s and Andrea’s customer service was outstanding, and so refreshing! The food was excellent and priced right, and the atmosphere was lovely. I would highly recommend giving the...
Read moreTried the poutine. Took way longer than 15 minutes and it was super disappointing. Im pretty sure it was missing the cheese curds and the "gravy" was thin and boring. The portion for the money was 👎. Four of us tried it, four passes. The chicken breast sammiches were bbbbbllllaaaaaand. Salt and pepper, yo! Decent wings. Crunchy and moist on the inside.... but still kinda boring. The lemon pepper rub was obviously rubbed on by a small child with polio because it's was sorely lacking. The Boss was delightful. Whoever made the BBQ sauce should be yelled at for at least one full day. It tasted like the red stuff spaghetti-Os float in. Yuck is being kind. My coke was good. Lots of bubbles. I don't think I'm going to come back but it looks like the place will be successful. Just not for me I'm afraid. Work on making your food taste...
