Overall a good experience with food, service and atmosphere. We ordered edamame, crispy brussel sprouts and kale salad, Korean wings, and orange chicken skewers. Edamame with truffle salt is a good option for appetizer. I would definitely recommend that. Crispy Brussel sprouts and kale salad tasted really "healthy". Not that much flavor unless you put the sweet chili sauce that they give you with it. But overall definitely a very good appetizer option and I would recommend getting it. Korean wings - get it with hot sauce. It's really not that hot. There's peanuts on the Korean wings so be careful of that if you have an allergy or just don't like peanuts 😊 Orange chicken skewers are crispy on the outside. Decent flavor but nothing great. Just like chicken tempura if you ever had that. I would suggest skipping this one. Also... There is a "non-cash adjustment fee" that gets added to your bill automatically. A couple of dollars if your bill is about $50. When I asked about it, they mentioned that this is the fee for taking credit cards. Odd... I haven't seen any other place doing that. It's usually part of doing business and you have to pay approximately 3% to the credit card companies as a merchant. So I was surprised that they passed on this fee to the customer.

Located in downtown Plainfield, Mora Asian Fusion is a quaint little sushi restaurant that has a lot to offer. The restaurant building was constructed before 1900. It was used as a town hall, fire department, police department and jail. You will find the glimpse of restored history throughout the restaurant. The atmosphere is cool, elegant yet casual with a unique bar at the entrance. We ordered an array of food including crunchy brussel sprout and kale salad, noodles, Korean wings, hand rolls and sashimi. All of it was great. The quality was good. Additionally, the presentation was on point. I highly recommend a visit. Food is beat pricey for Plainfield, but once again you are paying for the great atmosphere in Plainfield. I’m giving 4 star due to few service issue and our server's lack of knowledge on sushi nigiri. We order sashimi which comes with 4 pieces but order only came with 3 pieces at our table. The issue was fixed. Please check out the pictures associated with this review.

The ambiance in this restaurant and the decorations are beautiful! It looks very high class and everything is gorgeous. Now service is not so great. We came before the rush, got seated and waited a good amount of time before a server came by to just bring us water. We asked to order but she said she needs a minute and went to a table that got seated after us and took their food order first. Then we waited another good amount of time to order our food. Someone else brought our food and our server never came back to check on us. We just got our check at the end. Side note, their menu states Pepsi products but they serve Coke products. I have had better sushi. The sushi is very mediocre but expected for that price.

Edit: i dont know what happened this place used to be awesome and now they are pretty average or below the bar. Theyve been cutting down on their menu option which really wasnt a huge spread to begin with but it was made very well. But their portions are also incorrect now twice i went there and menu says youll get 6 pieces on a spider roll and youll only get 5.

Last time i went there we got 70 dolars worth of food and the rolls were so small we left hungier then when we came. Id have ordered more but it would have been a waste of money. Im not paying 15 dollars for rolls that wouldnt even feed a child and their portions on the menu dont match what your served and im not playing a gamble with high priced food.

Whatevers happened in the past 2 month this place i hope they get it together and fix it but for now i gotta find a new sushi place cause this is no longer worth their prices

Xxxxxxxxx

Old review before edit: I love this place. Its weird they are the only place on Uber Eats for sushi in the Joliet area when i can name like 5 places off the top of my head way closer but considering the cost back and forth to actually go inside here or any sushi place im still saving money.

Still I've ordered from here well over 10 times and not once did i have any leftovers and it was all great. Their Spider Rolls are the best Spider Roll you will ever have in the SE Area of Chicago. Soft shell crab so juicy and easy to eat a child could chew it no problem.

Their unagi sauce is amazing. Huge portions EVERYTHING is great! I cant vouche for the really hot stuff, spiciest i go to is spicy mato which is more taste then spice (which theirs is awesome) and they dont glob on the sauce so you can actually taste individual flavors. Which is a blessing and a curse cause i want that unagi sauce by the bottle for home use hahaha.

My only problem i have with this place is their full menu is not up on uber eats. From the photos im guessing they got great specialty drinks having a patio and all that and it be nice to get the "Alaskan Roll" back on the menu again. it was a shame when they updated their menu for me i always used to order an extra alaskan for lunch the next day. :(

If im ever in plainfield im making a special stop to eat here in person, I promise you that. Do yourself a favor and try this place out and if you cant make it like me order yourself a Spider Roll on Uber Eats, you...

This is the second time we have come on a busy night. Our first time we came on a busy night we were told the wait was 45 minutes so we joined the area of people waiting. We overheard a lady waiting say that they had reservations and had been waiting an hour so we left. Fast forward to tonight and we had made reservations two weeks prior to tonight. Knowing how this restaurant operates so poorly with reservations I asked the host when we got there if we would truly be seated at the time of our reservations and he said yes they just needed to get a few tables cleared off. Half an hour passed and it became apparent to me that others were all sitting there waiting well past their reservation times. We saw multiple people leaving but they weren’t seating any new people waiting. I went back to the host and explained how he had indicated to me that they just had to clear some tables and we would be seated but that was half an hour ago. He went on to say they still had reservations ahead of us that were waiting yet. I asked why he wasn’t honest in the beginning when I asked if there was going to be a wait so that they wouldn’t have wasted my time of sitting there. We ended up leaving when the only remedy the manager had was to buy us a drink. I wasn’t there to drink. I made reservations to have a meal with my husband and this place clearly doesn’t honor reservations at all. I’m sure others left as well because right behind me talking to the host about him lying to us was another couple questioning their reservations and they were getting their coats on to leave too. This place is terribly run when it comes to accommodating reservations. We are done giving them anymore chances. Don’t offer the opportunity to clients to make reservations if you can’t honor them. It’s one thing to push the reservations back 10-15 minutes but you guys push them way back and lie to your clients. Be transparent. I asked for transparency from the beginning and was lied to. Stay away from this place. Also, take note how they reply to the positive reviews and ignore the negative ones. They don’t address the issues and try to resolve them. They just ignore...

Either these guys are con artists or really bad business owners. I have gone here plenty of times however, recently my experience was not great. I was seeking cooked non-spicy sushi--seems pretty easy. I specifically asked the hostess/owner(?) for recommendations. I selected the samurai with no jalapeño and the Tiggr roll. The Tiggr roll comes with raw salmon so I asked chef could switch it out with a different cooked fish. They came back and said they had to charge me $5. OK whatever. Two bites in and the Samurai had raw fish--even though I asked for no raw fish. So I had to pay for something that wasn't eaten but was charged more for switching out another cooked fish. That is complaint #1.

Complaint #2. I can overlook issue #1 so I go to Grub Hub to place an order. I noticed the prices were higher. So, I go to their website to check and noticed that all prices were $1 less than GH. So, naturally I go through ora's site to place a delivery order---the restaurant is open and it doesn't say that there are no delivery orders on Friday. So I spend 15 minutes selecting my items and upon checkout---pickup is the only option. It's 4pm on a Friday and they are not doing delivery orders. All if that and no delivery.

HMMMMMM...something seems fishy. On GH they are offering $8 off your order of $25--seems like a good a deal if you were paying the same prices advertised on their business website and they were delivering your order. But they are not delivering, and the prices are $1.00 more per item across 8 items being ordered. So, I'm not getting a deal at all. I am forced to pay higher prices on GH. Not good for a small business--I am literally trying to order directly from you and you are making it difficult on top...
